Well, there has been serious talk amongst the NCAA that now that the CAA has grown too superior to the rest of FCS that they might have to come up with a consolation game for the non-CAA teams. This might finally be the thing to make that happen. Good news for the rest of you!

The 7 div I win rule needs to be eliminated for the CAA. For the CAA it should be 6-5 because the CAA is the best conference and head and shoulders way better than every conference with the exception of the So-Con.

Nova was within a hair of falling to 6-5 and no playoffs if they don't beat UD in OT, and now they are in the semis. JMU, UMass, and UR were clearly better than any of the 8 bye teams with the exception of GSU.

IMO there are a bunch of teams that have been eliminated that are better than UMASS, UR and JMU

There's a fly in that ointment, YT. I still don't understand how JMU was out after beating a team in that POS B(C)$ racketeering.

Now that Seizure is 100% healthy, this looks to be a very tough game for the Hens. They will have to be playing their "A" game throughout to win. That being said, I actually feel bad for the rest of the FCS having to put up with us CAA assholes for a whole year after this game. :D

Nova looks really good. You bluehens better start getting ready for them Monday. Don't waste any time preparing for GSU this Saturday. You only gave up 38 points to us in 2001 and 27 to us in 2000. I repeat...waste no time on getting ready for Saturday's scrimmage at the tub.

Yeah cuz you beat us by two points last year in the title game? A game we pissed away. And what about when JMU was #1 and we had no chance to beat them on the road, how did that game turn out. Face it the CAA is the best conference no doubt, but a few plays here or there and Montana wins prob 2 of the last 3 title games against the CAA, and APP st won 3 titles in a row not to long ago, so you guys aren't as great as you think. I would love some home and homes with you east coast bitches.

Let's not get too carried away now. The CAA has to win 2 out of 2 games next week for this thread to be relevant. EWU and GSU are gonna throw everything they have at UD and VU, so both CAA squads better not think that they can sleepwalk through these games just 'cause they're Colonial members (but thankfully the teams aren't you guys and I don't expect them to). Plus EWU is undefeated on the Maxi Pad...that should probably account for something.

The fact that the committee decided it would be smart to set up a playoff bracket that could possibly allow two CAA teams to play in the Title Game in the first place to me...well quite frankly i think is a load of bull and poorly setup. However not surprised as it seems they favor the CAA at times over everyone. :twocents:

However if anyone thinks that both Delaware and Nova have easy games to get through to get the playoffs they will be very sorely mistaken. GSU is playing very well and with a healthy Shaw back under center have been tearing it up the past few weeks. Nova stomped a very good App State team on the road but now have to travel to Cheney (i believe they do since EWU has the better overall record) to play the Eagles who are also a pretty darn good team. I think the GSU Eagles however have the best shot at an upset this upcoming weekend. :thumb:

The idea is to set the bracket up so that the best two teams meet in the final. If those two teams are from the same conference then so be it. A bad set up would be to put all the CAA teams on the same side of the bracket. In my opinion two teams from the same conference shouldn't be able to meet before the semi finals.

I also don't see where the committee favors the CAA over everyone, seems to me that ASU and Montana get their share of home playoff games. Maybe the committee favors good teams?

Um, the only way it would be impossible for the CAA to have two teams in the final is if all 4 of them were on 1 side of the bracket. They're not going to do that, simply because it wrecks havoc with scheduling in the first round, because none of the CAA teams can play each other.

Its real easy to prevent an all CAA final; beat them. If you can't beat Nova (or UD), you don't belong in the title game. Its not like they're giving a CAA team an autopass to the finals. Nova got ASU, W&M got a hot GSU team (obviously didn't deserve to play in the 1st round), and UD and UNH had to match up.

It seems like a thread can't get started on this site without calls of ECB. Isn't ECB a result of a lot of the country not seeing West Coast teams play because they play late at night? Guess what? None of us are on fucking TV!

I will say this...CAA fans are some obnoxious motherfuckers.

Nova may be better than EWU on paper, but it is asking a lot to fly across the country (lose a day of practice) and play on Friday instead of Saturday (another day of practice lost). Combined with the fact that the Eagles have not lost in Cheney all year (including a win over the mighty Griz whom Nova played in the NC last year), I still say that game is too close to call. To call for an all-CAA final is pure speculation.

Understood. But when it gets in your heads, averages go out the window. If the finals end up being UD-Nova, that's what concerns me most.

That and Szczur.

And I don't like Nova. :|

Eh, I'll take that. White had a lot of success on crossing patterns against the Hens, but I'm not worried about him winning the downfield patterns against UD's DB's like he did against Appy St.
