Why was the SoCon fourth in the GPI again?

Post by Pwns »

Third place SoCon team beats the CAA champs 31-15 and it wasn't that close. App. State runs Western Illinois off the field, and Wofford gets it done versus Jax State on the road.

What do you mean "it wasn't that close"? W&M was actually leading that game 15-14 at one point. GSU played a great second half.

William and Mary had a pick 6 and really didn't generate much offense - that's why it wasn't as close.

GSU dominated the whole game.

Guess what. Defensive scores still count. :dunce:

Agreed, but when you see the overall performance of the game, GSU stomped ass. I was shocked to see it as well.

Georgia Southern has peaked at the right time and is playing great foottball right now, they will be hard to beat. Wofford is a solid team who has been strong all season except for when they went to Boone. As long as the Terriers don't get down big early, they can beat just about any FCS team. App State is just about unbeatable at the Rock. SoCon will more than likely put two teams in the Semis - first time since 2005.
