If EWU beats ISU, it will go down in the record books as a shared championship. Due to head to head MSU will get the AQ.SDHornet wrote:OMG. 7 seconds left. Roper finds Mutra on the MSU 39. One Hail Mary coming. Nope. INT MSU. MSU wins!
Well only a miracle or some $$$ can get UM in the playoffs. I don’t think they can get in the playoffs with this performance in the selection committee’s heads. 2 turnovers inside the MSU 5?!?
Congrats Montana State and their 2010 Big Sky Championship!
Congrats Eastern Washington on their 2010 Big Sky co-Championship. Even though you lost the head to head to MSU.

UM dominated the 2nd half. They blew it and choked when it mattered. MSU was content to run an ultra-conservative offense in the second half and depend on their defense. It worked and they won. Good hard fought game by both teams.SeattleGriz wrote:Thought we were gonna win that one.

Wow Griz, wait to hand the game to the bobcats, totally dominate the second half and fumble on the 1 yard line twice

As it was played,it should go down as one of the more competitive and enjoyable Cat/Griz games in recent years.SDHornet wrote:UM dominated the 2nd half. They blew it and choked when it mattered. In UM's defense the fumbles occurred on the 2 yard line.Gonzo wrote:Wow Griz, wait to hand the game to the bobcats, totally dominate the second half and fumble on the 1 yard line twice

Hard to open up the playbook when you get the ball at the 5, 1, 2 yard line.
Our defense showed up when it needed it.
First Lulay and now McGhee. Freshman qb getting a win in Missoula.

Yeah, it will technically be a shared title but 30-7 doesn't lie.

I don't think the committee does either.SeattleGriz wrote:I don't want to see our streak of 17 years in the playoffs die.
What a shitty game. We should have been up 35 - 21 in the fourth. It's absolutely heart-wrenching.

Griz went back to the basics today: Fumbles...INT's, shitty play calling, poor tackling.uofmman1122 wrote:I don't think the committee does either.SeattleGriz wrote:I don't want to see our streak of 17 years in the playoffs die.

I couldn't believe the Reynolds fumble. He would have easily gone into the endzone, but barely got hit (I think it was on the non-ball side, too, though I couldn't tell for sure) and dropped the ball.
Can't blame this one on the coaches. It was just (offensive) players pissing down their legs when it mattered.
Griz season is over. The chances of Montana making the playoffs are lower than Walter Mondale's chances of beating Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Neither does 34-7.CatBlitz22 wrote:Yeah, it will technically be a shared title but 30-7 doesn't lie.

Re: Official Brawl of the Wild Game Thread
I think for the Griz this will go down as the year, that the Griz beat themselves better than any opponent could.
A lot of top teams lost but there are a ton of team in the CAA that might get in and keep Griz out.

Re: Official Brawl of the Wild Game Thread
Both teams have conference losses on the road. Our loss to a 9-2 MSU looks much better than MSU's loss to a 5-6 or 6-5 NAU. We also had a tougher non-conference schedule. We're also kicking the shit out of ISU, a team that took MSU to over-time. We're also ranked higher in the polls. Spin it how you want, though.CatBlitz22 wrote:Did you beat us? I honestly don't care, as long as we're in the top 5.

Ugly year for the turnover margin, and another -4 did not help
Excited to see us actually execute with the run-option though, good sign for next season

It will either be Jordan Johnson or a transfer (I'm hoping transfer since Johnson didn't impress me at all this year).

Oh. Roper looked awful throwing the ball from what I've seen. But he did look good with his legs. I just can't believe he didn't at least give his receiver a chance to catch that 4th down throw. Oh well, there is always next year.Mvemjsunpx wrote:No. He's a Senior.SDHornet wrote: Does Roper return?
