Truth of the matter is we have only scored 35 pts. once this year against teams not named Western State so I think we'll have a tough time even getting there. Our offense puts us in the 20-30 pt. range so it'll be a real hootenanny if we hit 35.

Nothing can explain it. They have one WTF game every year and the NAU game was it.

As long as our O gels, I think 35 is pretty realistic. We have so many opportunities to put way more points on the board than we have. Not to mention our D will be fired up to pick 6 the "rising star" all day long 8-)

Of course, asking our O to "gel" is a pretty hefty task it seems as of late :?

Ball control offense by NAU, Bobby ball at its finest. NAU had TOP almost 40 minutes. um does not play like that any more so I don see it working for them.

A lot of things went wrong at NAU. McGhee was hobbled. NAU is a good team that hadn't played there for 5 weeks and it was parents weekend. We also faced Herrick at his best. The Griz faced his backup and almost lost.

I think the story of this game is will be how healthy each team is going into the game. MSU is getting healthier.

We should have Bignell and O'Connell (even if a series or two a huge lift) back.

Is Severin Campbell going to be able to play?

I don't see the Cats holding back the Griz, when Montana is backed into a corner. Its not gonna happen. Washington Grizzly Stadium is going to be SO efin hostile on Saturday that McGhee will not be able to run the offense the way their use to running it. He's a Freshman for christ's sakes. He's gonna crumble!!

Lulay was a freshman once too. He did alright that game. I admit is hard to hear hand signals that they get from the sideline.

I am sure the crowd will be a factor a cause a few penalties. It is going to be a good game.

The last line is the keeper AoD. If you haven't gelled by the 7th or 8th game then it is real unlikely that you're gonna unfortunately. Hope we can get by but as the Cat just said.we don't control our destiny on offense this year.

Even I get sick & tired of hearing how the crowd is gonna be the deciding factor.

If we cause a couple of false starts that's great but it ain't gonna fuck the kid up that much even though I'd like it a lot if it did.

What's next...do we start talking about the Hellgate wind chill?

i'd be more worried about roper than mcghee. roper's thrown more INTs in his last 2-3 games than FRESHMAN mcghee has thrown ALL season. PLUS roper's a statue who you know is gonna make a bad throw AND take a bad sack. unfortunately the griz' best QB is on the sideline. roper's MAYBE the 3rd best QB in the stadium this saturday.

when the cats shut down reynolds the game will fall on roper(bad news) the griz defense will be on the field too much due to roper's indecision.

ALL of the pressure is on the griz. they HAVE to win to make the playoffs. it's hard to envision a headcase/loner QB under a rookie coaching staff showing up in a big game :twocents:

Not to dwell on the WSU game but the Cat game was their highest home attendance of the year. Until the Husky game of course.
