See I can't tell if SH is actually lying, trolling, if he's serious, or a master of kidding, if he's a dude, or some weird made up character...so I try not to make any assumptions with him/her/it. I mean, I disagree with many of you on your votes and you guys with me, but at least we're serious about it. If SH is doing this intentionally, then someone should really look into it, because it makes us no better than the TSN poll if even 1% of our voters aren't serious.clenz wrote:I was hoping he was just being a douche and putting out fake polls, actually doing a real voting. Well, that's the crap that got polls thrown out at AGS, and I'd be all for that. We're trying to develop a legitimate poll that's recognized in the FCS community, and purposely fucking it up because of your own myopia is just retarded.Ursus A. I told you my philosophy. It's hard to drop a team out when you start them out high. I've corrected my Sac myopia. But I firmly believe the Griz will face Liberty in the final. Sure I could be wrong, but that's what I'm seeing at this point. I'm VERY serious about that.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Then you're not watching the same football teams I am. Griz have given NO indication they're anywhere near being a PLAYOFF team, let alone making the NC. And it's not hard to drop them at all. I dropped the Griz 2 spots after WINNING against NAU, then dropped them another FOURTEEN spots after losing to Weber. Oh, and BTW, my #1 team in my first poll is no longer IN my poll.SuperHornet wrote:I told you my philosophy. It's hard to drop a team out when you start them out high. I've corrected my Sac myopia. And Liberty? Seriously? I mean just because you GO there doesn't make them God's gift to the football world.
Take off the myopic glasses and get real. Or stop voting.

Dayton at 35 and JU at 25? Are you guys really even trying here? Dayton has a win over #14 in '"your" poll. Who does JU have a win over in "your" poll? If you are going to do this, at least put some effort into it.... By the way, since most of you did not put any effort in, Dayton and Jacksonville are both 9-1, 8-0 PFL, and 8-1 FCS. Let me ask again, which team has the better OOC win?

Just for jollies, I like to look at what (all?) the computers have to say.
http://masseyratings.com/cf/compare1aa.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's also informative to look at the "highest" rating and "lowest" rating for an individual team. There are always some real chuckles there!
There is little-to-no East-Coast Bias; West-Coast Bias; CAA Bias; Anti-Ivy Bias; Anti-PFL Bias; Anti-HBCU Bias; etc., etc., etc.
The computers still are a bit whack at times (garbage in, garbage out), but one cannot attribute their results to lack of effort or lack of knowledge. One can attribute a lack of caring because computers don't give a rat's hairy patoot!

Something will be done to avoid guys that don't want to make an honest attempt at it. I think making it a competitive type thing where the guy that is the biggest "outlier" gets dropped each week.89Hen wrote:Kick him the F off the voting roles. Still sorting it out and things will change to make it better I'm sure and the problems will be dealt with. Hopefully we can get it to where guys like you and bandl can have time on Monday mornings to submit a vote as well.

From the CS.com voting rules:
Voting:
1) Poll closes Sunday at Midnight PST on Sunday night.

I believe it was changed after a couple weeks to Monday morning to allow for those who wouldn't be able to do Sunday night.....at least it was talked about.CoachL wrote:Is that the "Monday Morning Quarterbacks Club?"andy7171 wrote:

Cool man, that's the boat I'm in as well. We've made great strides in patching things up between the two sites so if we don't take rips at what some voters are doing as rips on each sites poll then I think we're in good shape.Ivytalk wrote:I apologize, Ursus. I agree. If she wants to vote in an irrational fashion then her poll should not be counted in the totals. I realize that polls don't really matter, but some people do make the effort to fill them out properly and somebody is making the effort to tabulate the results.clenz wrote:I was hoping he was just being a douche and putting out fake polls, actually doing a real voting. People who are trying to make a mockery out of the process should not have their voice heard. Besides, we all know that SH is a loon, we don't need any weekly reminders.
