YSU scored 22 unanswered to lead with 26 seconds left 39-35. The second after we scored the radio guys reminded us their was 26 seconds left on the clock since we've blown lead after lead after lead this year in the final 2 minutes of the game. So what do we do, give up 3 plays for 74 yards and a 40 yard bomb for a TD with .7 seconds left.

Unreal season for YSU. Four of our six losses in the MVFC were by a total of twelve points, with the other two losses being by 10 at MSU (led 17-0) and at SDSU (led early).

With all that being said, congrats to ILSU for making the plays late.

Sounds like our season last year, we stubbed our toe repeatedly in the closing minutes of like five or six games. Most frustrating season ever, it gets to the point where you'd rather see your team get blown out because you can't take any more frustration. But eventually those close losses will turn into wins, at least they have for NDSU this year.

Good teams find ways to win close games.

Bad teams find ways to lose close games.

I don't think we are all that bad if we are coming up so close. Hell you guys will likely win the league and we only lost to you guys by 4 points... We just need a totally revamped defense.

Youngstown is not a bad team. They are a very tough team. They are just a young team that doesn't know how to win yet.

clenz, we lost two close games that we should have won. Are we a bad team?

When it becomes a pattern yes.

It isn't a pattern for UNI.

I would say that to start the season, we were a bad team.

Good teams find ways to win close games.

Bad teams find ways to lose close games.
Good teams have a good offense AND defense--bad teams have neither or one or the other--recruiting what they need is the solution.

really good teams don't have to deal with close games that often.

sometimes.
but not every Really Good Team ends up winning the NC.
and sometimes NCs are won by just good teams.

and, of course, there is the fact that none of this year's teams have won National Championships.
