Kickoff scheduled for 2 pm PDT from Hornet Stadium in Sacramento. The Sacramento State Hornets welcome the Portland State Vikings for a conference matchup. The Hornets are fresh off of a 40-10 shellacking of Northern Arizona down in Flagstaff last week while the Vikings come in after losing at home to Eastern Washington, 50-17. The Hornets are led by their strong running back, Bryan Hilliard, while the Vikings will counter with their rushing back, Cory McCaffrey. Vikings quarterback, Connor Kavanaugh is out this game with an injured left hand, so Tygue Howland will start in his place. The Hornets sit 3-3 in conference and 4-4 overall, losing to the Big Sky Big 3, Montana State, Montana and Eastern Washington, but own wins over Northern Arizona and Weber State, and hope to build on the awesome win last week. Weather should be partly cloudy, chance of showers late with temps around 70 at kickoff.

Your QB, Fleming, is a pretty good competitor. I haven't seen where anyone has really talked about him out here. Good complement for Hilliard, it seems.

Howland, yes came in for Kavanaugh after the first series. He petitioned the NCAA last year for an extra year of eligibility and got it. Was recruited by Walsh's staff at PSU so he came before Glanville.
