Sounds like it was somewhere between. I had a friend who went and said it was the least diverse crowd he has ever seen anywhere. 25-35, no old people, no kids, no minorities. :|

So you're saying that a Comedy Central function drew Comedy Central's key demographic. Imagine that.

The Rally to Restore Sanity has come to a close, and crowd estimates are beginning to trickle in. It is clear that a huge number of people attended the event (see photos from the rally here), but the calculations vary among sources.

According to CBS News, 215,000 people showed up for the rally on Saturday. By comparison, CBS estimated that 87,000 -- just 40% of the Sanity Rally estimation -- attended Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally in August.

Canada's CTV, meanwhile, wrote that 250,000 people were estimated to have partaken in the Rally to Restore Sanity.

Earlier on Saturday, Brian Stelter tweeted that the Parks Service approximated that "well over 200,000" attended Saturday's rally.

I know two familes that flew (yes, flew) into town JUST for this rally. I'm honestly re-assessing their friendship value. But anyways, they have 6 kids between the ages of 18 months and 8 years old. Both familes are white though.

I also know of an elderly couple who flew in from California JUST for this rally. They are 65 and 67 years old. Again, both white though.

Ummm, not sure which video you watched. The one you posted had one black guy, one "Muslim" and an older white woman standing in a sea of 25-35 year old white folk. It looked like a Phish concert from 10 years ago.

Yeah. That's pretty much all I'm saying... well, maybe not all. We heard how the Beck rally was so homogenous and in the video you posted the black man talked about xenophobia...

So you're getting pissy about a serious tea party rally and a farcical Comedy Central rally being compared? I think you fell for the trap John Stewart set for you.

You know me a lot less than I would suspect if you think this is "pissy". I merely mentioned what my friend (a liberal) said about the crowd. I'll take his word on this one.

Hey, so this weekend would have been perfect for a terrorist to target a few downtown metros...Smithsonian, Metro Center, L'enfant, Pentagon...even the damn RFK/DC Armory station for the Marine Corp Marathon packet pick-up

Seriously, do these maroons even think about this kind of stuff? :|

How do you like me now PBS?

The guy was turned in by a muslim.

So, both the Times Square bomber and this Metro bomber were prevented from carrying out their attacks..... by....... muslims. I think if anything that goes against Juan Williams's statement.

Also I just heard on the radio that the tip on the printer cartridge plot from a few days ago came from an official in the Saudi government.

Another victory for moderate muslims! :thumb:

I you think the Saudi government represents moderate muslims you need to update your files on what constitutes "moderate". Sure, they'll lend their oil buddies a hand, but the Saudis are anything but moderate.

They're worried that may have been a rehearsal.

They caught the douchenozzle that was taking potshots at the Marine Museum, Pentagon, and other buildings  :

Hey!

Welcome aboard!

Aren't you Kleany's daughter? The lack of capitalization and a missing plural kind of gave you away.
