I'm simply saying I can't be as bonded to a Montanan who does not live in Montana anymore. All you are now is a Montanan at heart, but not in body. As is said in this thread, Montanans are very proud of their state, even when they move out of it. But it bums me out when Montanans leave and out of staters move in. And if a opportunity presents itself that I can't pass up out of state, I will jump on it too. But my whole family is here, has been for generations, and I do sacrifice a chance at bettering my career or salary by staying in state, because I love Montana and my family is very important to me, that if I couldn't see them a couple times a month I wouldn't be the same person I am.
I can understand that, and I feel the same. I would go back in a heart beat, if I could, but unfortunately, I have a very narrow skill-set, and it is either used here, or not at all. If I could take less money and live in Kalispell, done deal, right now.
No big deal blazer...of you think people have pride being from Montana then you should see the people I grew up with from Butte, Montana..or Butte, America etc. Talk about proud of where you came from....people don't understand the pride, you just have it and those who piss on you get their teeth knocked out....
Butte is a **** hole, Anaconda is the good land.
Nice try 37, got the best of both worlds...mom and dad, many aunts and uncles & cousins are from Anaconda so I have both bloods in me.......wouldn't have it any other way.
