Portland State at Weber State

Kickoff scheduled for 3 pm MDT from Stewart Stadium in Ogden, Utah featuring the Portland State Vikings facing the Weber State Wildcats. The Wildcats are coming off of a closer than expected 16-13 win at Idaho State last week, while the Vikings watched Montana march down the field in the closing minutes and kick a field goal in the final seconds to snatch a victory from the Vikings. The Wildcats are 2-2 in conference play, having endured losses to Eastern Washington at home and Sacramento State on the road. The Vikings are now 1-2 in conference with both losses coming to the Montana schools. The Wildcats are led by Cameron Higgins who had his breakout game back in 2007 against the Vikings in a 73-68 thriller at PGE Park in Portland. The Vikings bring in Connor Kavanaugh to lead the pistol attack. Recent games involving these two have been explosive and high scoring, going back to that 2007 game. However, this year may be different as both teams have been bit by the turnover bug all year. Both are at the bottom of the conference in turnovers so this game may come down to who can secure the ball better. The weather will not help as it is scheduled to be windy with a chance of rain and possible thundershowers with gametime temperatures in the 50's.
