"But the damned and the guiltiest among you are the men who had the capacity to know, yet chose to blank out reality, the men who were willing to sell their intelligence into cynical servitude..."

The NCAA statistics for toughest schedule are based solely on opposition record.....which is obviously retarded. For instance, according to the NCAA, playing Wagner (4-2) is equal to playing NAU (4-2). It doesn't take into account where the game is played either.
That is why the Sagarin is leaps and bounds better than the NCAA. I believe the GPI also works like Sagarins ratings too.

All true except the GPI doesn't "work" like anything. its just an index of all computer rankings, including Sagarin.

Thanks. "Works" is an acceptable word, given the context, and I stand by it.

I don't want to argue semantics but I guess I will..............the correct statement would be that "the computers that make up the GPI, including Sagarin, work like Sagarin and not the NCAA stupid-ass SOS calculation".....

Does that mean that teams are REQUIRED to bus to those games, or that the NCAA will only pay the equivalent of a bus trip? Theoretically, teams could apply the cost of a bus trip to a plane trip and foot the difference themselves. Not every school would do that, particularly in this fiscal environment, but I could see it done.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Teams are only reimbursed for the costs associated with a bus trip. I believe they can fly if they want, but won't get paid for it by the NCAA.
