The MVFC looks like this:

1) NDSU is out in the cold
2) The at large is up for grabs
3) UNI is on track for the AQ
4) There is a power shift under way
5) There is more parity
How is there a power shift?

UNI is leading the conference and has won 14 of the 25 conference titles.

What shift?

Im not holding out a lot of hope for the BISON at this point. Things we thought were possible are now out of reach. Its a a dark night under the stands. Todays game is a page in BISON Lore that will be kept with the others. It has lessons and insights that will only add to the libraries and their future value.

Changes are on the horizon. But thats for another day. NDSU goes into a bye week. We should come out strong. There is a challenging gauntlet ahead for The Herd. League Leading Indiana, SIU and SDSU. All Big Games. All games that could change the fate of what now is looking like a challenging season for The BISON. Win, lose or draw we are seeing some good football.

Learning to win is hard to do. Learning to lose is hard too. Sportsmanship is always first and foremost. Its the way to glory for all. But losing is no excuse to say you are beaten or a loser. Losing is a gateway to a win. It was a tough loss today but the opponent was worthy. Illinois State earned the victory today. They did what they had to do. I caution the teams that have yet to play them.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Duh. SIU won the conference last year.

Ind State 2-1
Northern Iowa 2-1
Southern Ill 2-2
Ill State 3-2
MSU 1-2
YSU 1-2 game in progress YSU 17-WSI 14 2nd
SDSU 2-2
NDSU 1-3

And UNI gets Illinois State at home next week.

Given ISUR's defense I like our chances there. The only team we don't own a tie break over right now is SIU, and unless they get their shit straight we won't have to worry about that.

You could order them however you choose. I like the 3 wins. I also edited the list there was a mistake on the first one. I think this is right. Its confusing because the conference site isnt updated.

NDSU can get 4 wins and that would leave MSU, SDSU and SIU with at least 3 loses. The tie breaker with UNI doesnt mean a thing to NDSU right now. We are all about the at-large. We want UNI to beat everybody.

To be honest I am not going to fall trap to emotion and say the trees are going to win the conference because I doubt we will BU t we are surely going to be seriousely competitive and we will NOT finish last...

Looking back I really underestimated their rushing game.

Well balanced team.

The Redbirds sure played some good football. 2 running backs with over 100 yds. is an impressive stat.

WIU 3-1
Ind State 2-1
Northern Iowa 2-1
Ill State 3-2
SDSU 2-2
Southern Ill 2-2
MSU 1-2
NDSU 1-3
YSU 1-3

NDSU has Indiana State, SIU, MSU and SDSU. If The BISON win out we will be 5-3 with a win over the Big 12. That scenario assures MSU, SDSU and ISU will have 3 losses and no tie breaker with the BISON. Based on conference record that takes out:

MSU, ISU, SDSU, YSU.

Based on overall record and the at-large. NDSU would finish with 3 loses and the Big 12 win. UNI and ISUR are three loss teams. If they lose another game they will be 4 loss teams and even with the tie breaker they are out of contention.

That leaves WIU and ISUB. NDSU has played and lost to both of them so I hope they win out WIU has the tie-breaker.

There is a lot of football left in the MVFC. NDSU has to win out to have a hope for the playoffs.

Even with the failure of the "win-out" scenario to materialize the season ends in Fargo with 3 great games and a late November road game to Springfield. Its more likely BISON fans are going to be enjoying these games with an eye toward next year but the reality of contention for NDSU and the At-Large bid from the MVFC is out there.

AHHHHHHHHH is good to see SDSU above NDSU again. I honestly have to hope you lose every game because of buttfucks like JBB, just because I know there are more people like him even if he is just screwing around with a fake irrationality. God NDSU fans piss me off. Excluding Gil. I think he is the only one who doesn't.

P.S. I have to stop pposting drunk. Really ruining the rep I fear.

Im sorry you have a substance abuse problem thumper? I would consult a Dr if I were you and dont feel self concious when you are recovering. Im sure everyone reading this thread will have forgiveness for you. Take it easy brother and get well.

I have learned through sources the NDSU practices are also going to focus on game tactics, sets and schemes. These are all subtle nuances to the game. A through command of these subjects should reinforce the hard work to be done on the fundamentals of the play of game. I am confident this course of action will result in victory for our fellows in our final loop games. :twocents:

I'm glad NDSU is finally going to start practicing schemes and different sets. That is something every other team has been doing since about 1960.

Yep. I wake up in the morning and have a bowl of fruit loops and Jack Daniels, with a nice tall refreshing glass of Jager. Then I fill my three flasks with everclear to keep being going through the day. Then I come home and polish the day off with a nice keg of Coors light. Anyways, everyone knows rehab is for quitters, and well, I'm just too stubborn to quit. :thumb:

However, I must say NDSU shouldn't push to hard on themselves in practice, lest they become prey to the stuffing affect that has become something of a pandemic at NDSU games  I'm guessing that was the problem for the Ill St game.

Actually, it goes all the way back to the spring game. We should have invited the Jacks up for a scrimmage, so we didn't get the stuffing knocked out of ourselves so bad. :ohno:
Thread-killer extraordinaire.
