No bite, huh? Well, figured I'd try.

Did you go to the game? How was it (aside from the final result)? Meet any JMU a-holes?

Did you impress the little ones with your shotgunning abilities? Or did you vomit all over yourself and pass out in a heap?

Good stuff. Had one of those a couple weeks ago. :thumb:
In a bottle, I assume. Hard to shotgun bottled beer unless you don't mind shards of glass in your throat.

Can't it be both?

I'd be interested in finding out what the percentage of the 9000 were JMU fans.

9+k tickets sold, no way 9k people there. Looked like maybe 7k butts in seats. Most I'd remembered seeing at a Towson-JMU game by far (was there 04' & 06', missed 08'). I'd say JMU had at least 2k.

Band was good. Why seat them next to the visiting fan section though? Wasn't that way before. Also, why were the dance/flag people (well, I would say chicks except there was at least 4 homos with them) wearing black & red unis when Towson's colors are black & yellow?

Dukie95 wrote:As talented as Sean Schaffer was, he never really scared me. That kid Saturday impressed (and frightened) the heck out of me.

All he needed was some clip-on dreds and he would have been a dead-ringer for AE.

So fortunate to have come away with a win... Good luck Towson, you have really improved.

AE is 5'11", 180. Hart is listed at 6'4", 220. Doesn't resemble AE at all.

Now as far as him scrambling, yeah, he was very elusive. 14 carries, netted 72 yds. About 4 times he ran a bootleg where the JMU de end bit and he ran right past them for decent gains. It wasn't #13 DJ Bryant (JMU's fastest de end). Was either O'Neil (#98) or (Snow #95) or maybe both. I forget which one it was as in my slightly alcoholic haze I sometimes get the 2 of them confused as they rotate at that de end spot, have similar #s, are similar in size (one is listed at 6'3", 245 and the other is listed at 6'4", 240), and with Emmons out they are the 2 healthy white guys on JMU's 2 deep DL.

I finally listened to Mickey's Monday press conference & radio show today and he called Hart the most athletic QB JMU had faced all season (and thats saying A LOT considering JMU has faced Tyrod Taylor and Mike Brown of Liberty). Now Mickey tends to use a lot of hyperbole but I would agree that Hart is right up there with them. Doesn't look to be too good of a passer right now-he only went 8 for 25 against JMU, and for the season in the CAA stats he's showing only 48% completion rate. Mickey pointed out that the Hart had been turning the ball over a lot prior (CAA stats show coming into the JMU game he had 8 TD passes, 6 INTs, and a couple of lost fumbles) and thats why they had been playing the other kid also at QB, but Hart didn't turn the ball over against JMU.

Yep, like I said earlier, Towson is going to win a CAA game or 2, and 3 wouldn't shock me.

Mickey was very complimentary about the facilities at Towson, and said that was by far the biggest crowd he'd seen up there for a JMU game (guess he's coached up there maybe 4 games 04'-this season?).

Chris Hart is a junior.
Bart Blanchard, the backup, is a 5th year transfer from The Citadel who has passed for 4K yards. Athens, who started 5 games las tyear, his true freshman year is being redshirted this year because of Blanchard.

Hart was benched for turning it over, but he hasn't been pulled since not turning it over.

Like I said, the W/L record doesn't show it, but this is turning around fast.
