Some of these other boards I might briefly troll on around signing day, their spring game, and in Aug to see what they are saying about their recruits and team. Or if some if their is something major newsworthy going on with their team.
Bottom line though 90% of the time its just the week that JMU plays them. And I know lots of people troll other's people's message boards the week they play them. For example, on the "Devlin Hit" thread alone on the JMU page on the Zone there is a double digit # of UD trolls that have posted.
Yeah, I'm wasting time on the internet. But unlike a lot of folks, I haven't jumped on the Facebook or twitter bandwagons, partake in NFL Fantasy leagues, play video games online, etc. We all have mostly worthless things we waste time on.

If by headhunting you mean pulling down the Torson football players' skirts to trip them up, then yes.CAA Flagship wrote:From that point forward, this thread became the CAAZone.bandl wrote: Here’s the way I look at the CAAZone…
Every member of each school jerks each other off in a circle. And some of the members of each school also like to simultaneously **** on members of other schools. Thing is, JMU has more ******* doing the jerking off and the shitting than other schools.
So will JMU do any headhunting this weekend or do you think it won't be necessary?

Re: JMU vs. Twoson official thread
On the injury front for JMU:
-Starting rSr right OG #59 Brandon Monroe (6'2", 285), returning starter from 09' broken ankle. Sat will be 8 weeks since he broke it in the Sat, 8/14 scimmage. Was suppose to be out 6-8 weeks. Was still in a boot & crutches last week. Looks like it could be at least the end of the month before he's back. If any later than that I'm wondering if a medical redshirt is a possibility (that is if he's be willing to come back)? rFr #51 Scott Jones (6’5”, 295) has been starting in his place at right OG. The right side of JMU’s o-line with the 2 replacement starters has struggled some. One interesting matchup will be #51 Jones against Towson pre season All CAA Sr DT #64 Yakia Ibia (6’2”, 295).
-Starting rSr DT #49 Nick Emmons (6'3", 255), probably JMU's 2nd best DL, ankle sprain against VT, reportedly won't play against Towson (not listed on 2 deep game notes). Thats 4 weeks. He was dressed for UD, but DNP. My guess is he plays next week 9/16 vs UNH.
-07' his soph year at Army starts around 5 games.
-08' his jr year I rememebr in the Army game notes he is shown as the starter the 1st game, then disappears (Isn't it at the service academies once you start classes your junior year you owe a service obligation to the military?)
-09' last yr he has to sit out at JMU due to a transfer issue (Mickey said he's close to a 4.0 student)
-10' this season he's starting but sprains his ankle vs VT and is missing at least 3 games. A shame.
-Starting in Emmons place has been Syracuse transfer #91 rJr Lamar Middleton (6'2", 255). Last yr JMU fans ASSumed because Middleton was starting on Cuse's defensive unit during Spring 09' before transferring to JMU he would be on JMU's 2 deep DL last season, and maybe start. He ended up being the 5th DT, didn't play much, and appeared to be a disappointment. Spring and summer reports touted him as being one of the most improved players. Has played very well so far.
-Other starting DT is #93 rSr Ronnell Brown, (6'2", 270), preseason All CAA
-Just means JMU will likely only use a 3 man DT rotation instead of 4, with rFr #56 Jordan Staunton (6'4", 255) rotating in Staunton may have been the top recruit for 09', 3 star, BCS offers BC and MD, reportedly would have played as a true frosh if not missing most of summer camp due to an NCAA Clearing House issue.
-rSr TB/WB #17 Griff Yancey (5'11", 205): will miss his 2nd straight game due to a hamstring injury. Has been on the 2 deep and has started off an on at tailback the last 4 seasons. Probably JMU's most valuable non starter.
-rSo #7 QB Justin Thorpe (6'1, 215"): Injured knee in Morehead win 4 weeks ago. Prognosis was out minimum 6 weeks, possibly whole season.
If Dudzik goes down the backup is Jace Edwards, a true freshman out of Tx 5A Midland Lee HS.
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As obvious from the video, kid has an arm, and can run the ball too. He shouldn't get too rattled as he's played in televised games in front of 18k when Midland Lee has taken on Odessa Permian in one of the most storied HS football rivalries in the country. Heck, those 2 schools will be on ESPN2 next week.
Not aware of any other injuries.

Whoah whoah whoah there BDK, but just what in the hell do you think you are doing? We don't need this kind of stuff here in a JMU/Tohson thread. I could put in my two cats in the secondary and they'd be able to handle themselves fairly well against Toyson. Hold off until we play a team that doesn't take naps on the field.BDKJMU wrote:On the injury front for JMU:

Exact same injury situation as last week. Yeah, should have posted this last week, could have skipped this week, then copied, pasted, and adjusted as necessary for next weeks HC game UNH @ JMU.bandl wrote:Whoah whoah whoah there BDK, but just what in the hell do you think you are doing? It's been just under a year since the Dukes were in this position - coming off a defeat.
Madison's 13-10 loss to Delaware on Saturday snapped a seven-game winning streak and handed it its first defeat since falling 24-3 at William & Mary on Oct. 24, 2009.
For JMU's players, Saturday's 7 p.m. game at Towson can't come fast enough.
"Everybody's ready to play," senior left tackle Theo Sherman said. "We're just trying to get to the next game. We'd do anything to get rid of this loss and get this loss behind us."
What they'll need to do is cut down on their penalties and improve on offense, two areas the coaches will certainly be emphasizing as the team prepares to take on Towson, a team JMU has beaten all six times they've played since Mickey Matthews became coach in 1999. That includes last year's 43-12 romp in the season finale.
"We got our feelings hurt Saturday, but we're OK," Matthews said......"
Article mentions the outstanding defense, then:
"......But offensively, the end zone has been just as foreign territory. JMU has scored one touchdown in each of its past two games.
"We're very challenged offensively right now," Matthews said.
In the loss to Delaware, the Dukes (3-1 overall, 1-0 in the CAA) managed just 69 yards in the second half.
"There's no excuse for coming out the way we did last week," Sherman said. "We're all ready for this game. We can't wait to get back on the field."
Towson's players feel the same way. The Tigers (1-4, 0-2) have lost three straight games going into Saturday but have played well in both their home contests. They beat Coastal Carolina in five overtimes on Sept. 11 at Unitas Stadium for their lone win this season.
Last weekend, Towson was up 14-7 in the second quarter against Massachusetts before giving up 20 unanswered points in the loss.
Matthews said - despite the generally lopsided final scores in JMU's wins over Towson - the Tigers are a potentially dangerous foe, one capable of hanging around and winning a close game if the Dukes' offense can't score earlier in the game.
"Towson's struggling some, but they're good enough to beat you," Matthews said.
A week ago, the game with Delaware featured a matchup of two of the league's top defenses. This Saturday's affair features two of the CAA's most flaccid offenses. JMU ranks eighth in total offense (321 yards per game) and seventh in scoring (22.2 points per game) in the 10-team conference. Not to be outdone, Towson is last in total offense (307.2 ypg) and ninth in scoring (19 ppg), despite the outstanding play of senior wide receiver Hakeem Moore. Moore has 16 catches for 384 yards and five touchdowns through the first five games this season and leads the CAA with 77.4 yards per game.
"Momentum, mental mistakes," Moore said Wednesday after practice by phone from Towson. "We, as a unit, we're not taking care of the little things that matter. We're sitting back and waiting. Instead of being the aggressor, we're sitting back. This game, we're going to be the aggressor."
Junior Chris Hart started the first two games at quarterback for Towson, but graduate student Bart Blanchard - who played three years at the Citadel - took over for the Columbia and Massachusetts games and will start Saturday night against the Dukes.
While the mobile Hart was the Tigers' top rusher, gaining 264 yards on 63 carries, Blanchard is a pocket passer who has been more accurate and protected the football better. He is 31-for-48 (a 64.6 completion percentage) for 297 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Hart was 47-of-91 (51.6 percent) for 563 yards with eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
Like Moore at Towson, Sherman thinks the Dukes are closer to putting thing together on offense than the last two games may have revealed.
"We feel that we are," Sherman said. "Once everything gets clicking, we'll be back to that top offense we know we can be."........"

Re: JMU vs. Twoson official thread
"....The Dukes have yet to show any of their Wildcat package - dubbed Eagle at JMU - since backup quarterback Justin Thorpe was injured in the opening-game win over Morehead State. Matthews said Kavon Seaton - last year's No. 3 quarterback who was moved to receiver in the spring - is ready to run that package if JMU decides to use it."
The Secret Weapon.
Me thinks we'll see the Wildcat against the ......Wildcats on Oct 23.
