Not quite. We had to take a section away from the students to sell, or we would be sold out.

We will be over 16K tomorrow though, assuming students show up.

I meant one of the programs smaller than NDSU. Good showing though. Nice crowd expected at UNI everyone.

NDSU is the definition of small time. In the middle of bum fuck nowhere. Haven't accomplished jack as a DI football program. The rest of your athletic programs play in an irrelevant shit conference. :coffee:

My sources are now telling me the crowd could go to 19,376 or so. ALL SEATS ARE SOLD. STANDING ROOM ONLY. Who knows how many standing room tickets the fire Marshall will let them sell. Its his call.

This could be the largest crowd in NDSU BISON Football history. WIU Leathernecks @ NDSU BISON. Suddenly this game is Big 10 BIG!!!

From a UND football "blogger" Tom Miller:
Viverito said it’s "huge" to play each team every year in the conference because it builds rivalries. Is it? Not sure NDSU and Western Illinois playing every year will ever generate a heated rivalry.
http://gfsports.areavoices.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its going to be one of the largest crowds in the history of college athletics in North Dakota Tom.

There is no indication the game plan is in place. The hustle and bustle of the early afternoon has given way to a cool, 50 degree evening with a stiff breeze. Dawn will see the temp in the high 30s and the tailgate should be sunny, mid 40s to low 50s with a cool breeze.

This one is pretty obvious with the Purdue game showing the way. That might explain the quiet. Suddenly it seems like late fall. I hope its not an ill wind blowing. As far as I know this series only goes back to 2007 with The BISON winning in '07 and '09 and losing in '08. There is no series trend.

Its going to be a huge crowd and they should see some of the best football ever to be played in Fargo. These teams are MAC quality. There are going to be some good athletes on that field and when this game unfolds it should be a barn burner.

All of us here have full confidence in a BISON victory. In the meantime phone 1300, Grand Recreation Parlors, reserve a table from Steve Gorman. Malts, Ice cream, cigars and candy. Dont be surprised if you run into Coach Finnegan or Coach Sallwaechter either. Heck, Gil might even be around. It's hard to tell, times change fast.

GO BISON!!!

ONE MORE TIME FOR THE OLD AC!!!

GO BISON!!!

The largest crowd in the intimidating history of the Prestigious Fabulous Fargo Dome is 19,053 and UCD drew 19,011 in 2007. It's unlikely the Fire Marshall is going to let an extra 2 or 3 hundred in beyond that. I'm pulling back from my sources. This could be one of the large crowds. We know there are no seats available but 19,200 - 19,300 seem out of reach. Its time for the huge monitors at Dacotah field and bring back the $5 ticket and $1 hotdog.

JBB wrote:This is going to be a bigger crowd than last weeks USD game-18,050. Last week was a virtual sellout. This week it will be an actual sellout. There were a lot of single seats available last week. This week much harder to come by with no premium reserved left. Look for the corners and plan on sitting up high. Nobody has seen the standing room only signs up but the student section tickets are gone.
The students have been assigned over 200 standing room only tickets. 200 more to go out tommorow morning. The reserved seating has been totally sold out all day. And this is the first or second wave of General Admision standing room only. The ticket count will be well over, 19000. Butts in seats should be over (Figurative as about 600-800 people will have SRO) 19000. USD butts in seats was 16,800-17,400.

Granted these figures are all secondhand.

I got a call that the 19,376 number is good. I checked the capacity, its 18,823 so we are talking about 550 tickets or so. I guess we will see. The party is in full swing now and activity around the Prestigious facility has markedly increased. It's about 135 minutes before kickoff!

clenz, in theory it's a sell out, until the fire marshall says stop they will over sell the original rated #. Coughlin is technically sellout at 10000 and then we shoehorn the rest in. Of course there's fire exits all over, you just climb over the chain link fence.

I'm fully aware how ticket offices work.

If there are tickets to sell, even SRO, it is not a sell out and if it is marketed as one.

Actually, The GAC says:
When all seats are sold and standing room only remain the stadium is in a "Sold-Out Condition". JBB used the term sell-out incorrectly. When listed capacity is exceeded either Sold-Out or Sold-Out-Condition is proper if the capacity is disclosed with the statement.

We are here under the stands at the Fabulous Fargo dome after a stunning upset by the Western Illinois Leathernecks. The tunnels are complete chaos. Pushing, shoving the crowd carries you and you have cant move against it. The nations eyes are on the Fabulous Fargo Dome.

The NDSU BISON have suffered a rare defeat. Its a loss and its on the permanent record. Its a loss that puts the mantel of mediocrity on the Herd. its the loss that takes them out of obvious contention.

Is it over for The BISON, The team that shocked the Nation with their victory over Big 12 Powerhouse Kansas Jayhawks? Have The BISON packed it in? I doubt it. Next week is another chance. Another opportunity to write a page in BISON LORE.

This one is history. Congratulations to a very good WIU team.

Necks are looking good, but their last two games are with UNI and SIU. The Dawgs are starting to heal and the Cats seem to be getting a handle on their TO problem. The race will go down to the final week.

After their defeat at the hands of the NDSU BISON, the Kansas Jayhawks came out and took care of business the following week beating a ranked team but the discord, physical toll and loss of confidence among the players and coaches suffered after the NDSU BISON defeat has thrown Kansas into a "death slide". Gill is off his rocker a bit.

Last week he took away all cell phones from the team and is generally creating an atmosphere of discontent and demoralization among the players. This is without a doubt one of the greatest examples of the "Stuffing" phenomena. UNI has had the "stuffing knocked out" of them two years running as well. Their coaches have done some good things while in that position and Gill should be paying attention.

Yep - Kansas had so much stuffing knocked out of them, that they promptly went out and lost -err won against a then ranked GT. Your circular arguments are legendary. You make LakesBison's opinions look rationale and well reasoned.

That Kansas team was so highly regarded they were picked to finish 5th or 6th in the Big 12.....NORTH...by a couple places. Some had them as high as 3rd in the B12North with 5 WINS.

Real power house they are.
