Albany @ Yale - This is my NEC "homer" pick. The Danes will have to show more than they did last week. :|

Bryant @ Wagner - From Sporting News preseason pick to win the NEC to ???, Wagner is a mystery. :?

CCSU @ Sacred Heart - Sacred Heart may well beat out St. Francis in the race to the bottom of the NEC. :ohno:

Duquesne vs. Monmouth - The Dukes are slowly starting to make believers out of some people. The Dukes own The Bluff. Time will tell if Duquesne's show will play just as well on the road. 8-)

RMU @ SFPA - This could be a blowout, or the upset of the week. I'll hedge my bet and say RMU in a close one.

Albany @ Yale - Coach Ford has got to right this ship and will do so this week. Our pass defense will need to step it up though as Yale is averaging 300+ yards a game passing. I'm taking Albany but I'm a lot more worreid about this game now then I was after the Maine game.

Bryant @ Wagner - I would have picked Bryant in a blowout, but I have no clue which Wagner team is going to show up or which Bryant team will? I'm taking Bryant in a close one but am not at all confident about it.

CCSU @ Sacred Heart - should be a blowout.

Duquesne vs. Monmouth - Monmouth is going to have trouble defending Dixon and Williams. Everyone in the NEC is going to have trouble this year.

RMU @ SFPA - blowout for RMU. Teams have trouble playing SFPA because of the road trip. RMU doesn't have that problem. The Halloween showdown between RMU and Duquesne could be for more then just the "NEC Western PA Division Championship". It could be for the AQ.

Albany @ Yale - Danes are a step back from their usual self, but they don't lose 2 in a row very often. QB play is going to have to improve, but UA has the size and speed to overcome any shortcomings this week. Ford earns a a nice win in the historic Bowl.

Bryant @ Wagner - Bryant has a solid running game and shouldn't have a problem scoring points against Wagner. If the real Wagner steps up, they can put points on the Bulldogs as well. A tough game to read, as both teams are comming off a loss, but I'll take Bryant is a shootout.

CCSU @ Sacred Heart - CCSU matches up very well against a pass happy offense like SHU. Central has the best secondary in the NEC and the offense is really starting to put it in high gear. Penalties, mistakes, special teams, and turnovers could keep the score close, but the Blue Devils take the short bus ride to Fairfield and come back 2-0 in the NEC.

Duquesne vs. Monmouth - Dukes are proving each week that they can win the league, and Monmouth is showing this is a rebuilding year on the Jersey Shore.

RMU @ SFPA - The Frannies will look at this game as a big test, and it will be. Colonials win, but don't be suprised if the Flash doesn't roll over as expected.

Albany @ Yale - I think Albany rebounds and has a good weekend. They should also show some glimpses of what makes them a constant contender in the NEC.

Bryant @ Wagner - Not much analysis... I think Bryant is better and should win this game.

CCSU @ Sacred Heart - Again, not much analysis, CCSU is much better and should, and probably will, win this game with ease.

Duquesne vs. Monmouth - Duquesne is having a very good season so far and is making some noise in who gets to represent the NEC, but I just can't see Monmouth lose their first four. RMU did last year? And turned it around, but I think Monmouth rebounds this week and adds a little more drama to the standings and the playoff race.

RMU @ SFPA - Robert Morris is putting together a very good season and is showing that they can contend if they win the conference. I like RMU to get a big lead early, sit on it and win comfortably.

Albany @ Yale
This is a tough game to call. Has Albany figured out its issues and are they ready to re-focus on the remaining part of the season. Yale at home is tough and they have a great passing attack which was noted by ‘danefan’
I’m going with the Home team here but I won’t be surprised if Albany won.

Yale 23-21

Bryant @ Wagner
Bryant is 0-1 on the road this year. Wagner is…I don’t think anyone knows what Wagner is this year. It seems that they have the talent to challenge but its not there every game.
#1 scoring offense in the NEC vs. #1 scoring defense in the NEC.
The loser of this game is on the outside looking in. I think Bryant is going to get a lot of Doscher this game with his running ability and smarter passes. Bryant hangs tough and this will go late into the 4th quarter.

Wagner 20-19

CCSU @ Sacred Heart
It’s Homecoming for SHU. I believe SHU will come out fired up. SHU will pass the ball around but CCSU play solid Pass D and too many Fink INTs will seal the deal for SHU.

CCSU 38-20

Duquesne vs. Monmouth
Are the Dukes for real? Monmouth is having a rough season so far and what better way to right the ship then knocking off the Dukes. But this is a long road trip for Monmouth and whether its at home or away…Monmouth can’t play Pass D. Dukes continue their impress NEC run with a solid home win.

Dukes 27-17

RMU @ SFPA
For some reason…RMU is really upset over the press that SFPA’s D receives based on their stats. And has Scott Lewis been playing at SFPA for 7 years now…LOL
RMU will need to start fast to ensure SFPA is not in the game at all. I expected to see Russ have a monster game and another solid performance from Sinclair. If WR Cobb is starting to get healthy then that could spell trouble for SFPA’s secondary.

RMU 24-10

Albany @ Yale - Duquesne thoroughly spanked Danes both ways last week. Yale is pretty good. Homer.
Bryant @ Wagner - I'll root for Wagner, but I can't see Bryant losing this.
CCSU @ Sacred Heart - over by half-time
Duquesne vs. Monmouth - Dukes can pass against anyone, Monmouth can't stop the pass. Yikes!
RMU @ SFPA - Robert Morris can enjoy this one.

44-17 Monmouth!

:ohno:

Monmouth executed their gameplan extremely well. Congratulations, Hawks!

A hobbled Sean Patterson pulled for a true Freshman QB = 6 (yes, six!) interceptions + a Duquesne defensive collapse + Monmouth playing "lights out" football = lopsided victory for the Hawks.

One bright spot for the Dukes: Freshman Kick Returner from Hawai'i, Ryan Ho - 4 returns for 189 yards with the longest being 85 yards down to the Monmouth 1 yard line (Dukes forced to settle for a FG after an illegal substitution penalty!! :ohno: )

Albany fans, I feel your pain. :( (Butler lost today as well, but that was not a total surprise after what I witnessed in San Diego last week.)

As I've said before, the NEC will be won by the last team standing at the end of the season. Someone said it earlier; the NEC champion might have 2 conference losses.
