Re: Big Sky Week 4 Predictions
ASU's defense seems to be for real. Saw em live vs. NAU and saw a bit of last weekend's game on tv from Madison. I am not sold on ASU's offense but their holding Wisconsin to 20 points on the road is commendable. I think the Green Zeros win in Tempe but not while putting up 69-72 points.

Re: Big Sky Week 4 Predictions
I can't see the Ducks getting 50 on the Devils. They'd do well to get 30. All week, my Duck co-workers have been poo-pooing this, saying us PSU fans do not know what we are talking about. They still think they'll get 60.SeattleGriz wrote:Not to hijack this thread, but I hear ASU's front seven is nasty. I bet they put up at least 30, probably 40.

Re: Big Sky Week 4 Predictions
Looks like a perfect week. Even the Griz game.JALMOND wrote:(Don't pick Montana). So here I am at the start of week four sitting at 19-3. (Don't pick Montana). Pretty good so far but, even though last week was tough, this week will be tougher. Good games and good indications of things to come. I get to watch the whole weekend unfold as I do not have a horse in the race this time. Portland State is the only conference team that is not playing. So this week should be no problem, or maybe a lot of problems. 19-3 so far and hoping for a perfect week as Scream is breathing down my neck. (Don't pick Montana). Here are this week's picks.
EWU at MSU---The biggest conference game in quite awhile that does not involve Montana. Both the Eagles and Bobcats have great aspirations for this year and this game could go a long way towards determining a champion. The Bobcats have looked good. Jones for the Eagles has looked great. The rest of the Eagles, not so good. Edge, Bobcats...MSU 31, EWU 24.
NAU at ISU---The Jacks had two weeks to prepare for their conference opener. The Bengals were coolly put in their place with a loss last week at Northern Colorado. This game will possibly tell more about the Jacks and their season as nothing is really set with games against the likes of Western New Mexico and Arizona State. The Jacks hope to start the year with a win, the Bengals want to show that they belong...NAU 31, ISU 20.
UNC at Michigan State---This is supposed to be a magical season for the Bears and so far, its about middle of the road. Better than previous seasons, but probably not where they wanted to be this year. They beat Idaho State last week and lost on the road to Weber State the week before. Now a trip out of conference to Big 10's Michigan State, who beat Notre Dame last week. A bit of disparity between opponents, so to say...Michigan State 48, UNC 15.
Sac State at UM---(Don't pick Montana). Interesting comparison here. This is not the old Hornet team and, at the surface, this is not the old Grizzly team either. The Hornets seem to be rising, the Grizzlies seem to be falling. The Hornet fans are ecstatic at this opportunity, the Griz fans are scratching their heads. Two of my three misses have been from picking the Grizzlies to win (Don't pick Montana). They can't do it again, can they? Not at home...UM 31, Sac State 27.
UC-Davis at WSU---After playing two conference games right off the bat, the Wildcats step out of conference and welcome future Big Sky member UC-Davis to their home turf. The Wildcats were dispatched as the first victim of two upstarts and ended up splitting the games with Northern Colorado (home) and Sacramento State (road). This is not the first Big Sky opponent for UC-Davis as they lost at home to Portland State earlier...WSU 38, UC-Davis 17.

SAC 25 @ 28 UM (-8)
NAU 35 @ 17 ISU
NAU 32 @ 7 ISU (-7)
UC-Davis 21 @ 34 WSU
UC-Davis 9 @ 20 WSU (-2)

This week: 4-1
Last week: 4-1
Overall: 22-5
APSE last week: 5.8 pts.
APSE this week: 9.0 pts.
APSE overall: 11.1 pts.
What can I say. EWU offense practically laid an egg today. TJ got hurt a little (hip contusion), and BLM is garbage. MSU looked good, but the way EWU played today, UNC might have beaten us. Interesting matchup next week with the Cats on the road at a tough Sac State. The Sky could still be wide open.
