UMass at Michigan - Game Thread

Post by bonarae »

Can Shoelace be ever stopped, even for once? Or will UMass resort to deep passing to expose holes in the Wolverines' secondary?

Michigan will probably be in sync from opening kickoff. Wolverines by 21+. :(
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

The key to this game is for the UMass defense to contain Denard. They won't stop him, they need to slow him down and keep the clock moving. They cannot afford any more than one big play for a TD. UMass's offense will move the ball, we should be able to run and keep the clock moving as well. If this happens, UMass will be in the ballpark in the 4th quarter aided by some crucial Michigan turnovers during the game. Some wind and rain would be nice as well. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle, I see this a 45-17 game to the home UM. Hopefully no serious injuries, we pick up a nice check and some national exposure which will help recruiting. Michigan has had a couple of players ask for their scholarship release in the last couple of weeks..There is still some turmoil inside that program. Michigan also lost 2 starting linebackers last week. Should be fun no matter what the outcome.

Let's go UMass...

I'm stuck in that tough spot of hoping for a win...but knowing it's highly improbable...

Still, if we can get out of there with no injuries, I'll consider the weekend a success because of the big pay-out...
