UD's Devlin - fractured wrist
Fractured left (non-throwing) wrist.. but KC says he will play.

Re: UD's Devlin - fractured wrist
As long as he can still grip with the left enough to get it to the cannon, he should be OK. It's not like UD has him under center much at all, so that won't be a huge issue, except possibly 3rd or 4th and short where a QB sneak might normally be in order. This probably takes away some of his running as well.
The bigger worry now is re-injury. I hope we have a good cast maker somewhere in the AD.

Is your back-up transfer ready to go?89Hen wrote:![]()
I'd be tempted to have him sit this week.

I would imagine the goal is to have him play and get used to playing with the "naginess" of the wrist injury if it's going to bother him for a little bit. Other than that, I would agree. Maybe you don't beat Duquesne by as much, but you should still win.

Duquesne is the opponent this week.. maybe let Devlin dress but sit this one out unless he's really needed. I would think UD should be able to get by Duquesne even with their totally inexperienced backup QB and no doubt the backup would greatly benefit from the playing time.

That's what I think - let him play with it in real gameplay (although he played the last 3 quarters of the SDSU game with the injury, so clearly he can play with it) and get him out once the game is in hand. May not see him after halftime, hopefully.mcveyrl wrote:89Hen wrote:![]()

Tough break for Devlin and Delaware, hopefully this isn't an injury that lingers all season and into the playoffs.

If it lingers all season...the Hens may not have to worry about the playoffs...AppStateAlumQC wrote:Tough break for Devlin and Delaware, hopefully this isn't an injury that lingers all season and into the playoffs.
Having said that, I hope it's not that serious...

Genuine concern from UMass and App State about the health of a Delaware. That's a new one....and I'm not falling for it!

After what Hogan had to witness in Newark last year, I'm sure he's genuinely rooting for Devlin to pull through with flying colors!State Line Liquors wrote:Genuine concern from UMass and App State about the health of a Delaware. That's a new one....and I'm not falling for it!

Lingering worries me less than the near future. This seasons outcome is hinged directly to 9/25 @ Richmond & 10/2 @ JMU.AppStateAlumQC wrote:Tough break for Devlin and Delaware, hopefully this isn't an injury that lingers all season and into the playoffs.
