I'm not avoiding anything. I already conceded the two point try subject a while back.
You also maintained that that was the only thing you saw that they did in that mindset.
Your dang right! SFA didn't try to run up the score. They ran their offense, and after a while the back ups ran the offense. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Say what you will, and I fully expect yall to find something to post next week too. So I will hang up my hat for now.

Selle played for about 33 minutes in that game. If you need the drive charts I can provide them for you. Selle played in the first couple of series after 1/2 time. The SFA fans shouldn't have been crying but we didn't give you a lot of ammo because there were 7 pass attempts in the 2nd 1/2, 6 of which were in the first two series of the second 1/2. It was nothing but runs after the midpoint of the 3rd qtr. when we got the ball back.
Just wanted to clear a couple of things up for you since the memory of it seems cloudy from your perspective.

Up 52-14 and throwing the ball into the endzone on a 4th and 10 from the 12 instead of kicking the field goal.
That's an attempt to run up the score.
I can't tell you how wrong you are here...It is way worse to take an automatic three points. You let the defense try and stop you on this one...PERIOD.
Fine, then run the football. Throwing the ball in the situation described above is running up the score and classless.

I am trying to keep an open perspective here Col. I just don't follow...are you saying that its ok to keep your starters in the game during a blowout if its in the playoffs but not during regular season?
What your trying to do is to avoid the fact that your coaching staff tried to run up the score. Its blatently clear after the 2 pt conversion try in the 2nd half. Thats what really makes it different. There is keeping your 1st string in but running the ball or being conservative with your offense, or there is keeping on trying to score as much as possible on an already trounced opponent who is weaker than you. The playoffs are different because you SHOULD be good enough to stop that. You have earned your way into the playoffs by being good, you should be able to stop the other team. Going for two in a regular season game against a team from a lesser conference is just being douchy.
Could not have said it better...

So they just randomly decided, what the hell lets go for two just for shits, and the rest of the game weren't trying to run the score up by keeping in their #1s most of the game? Interesting, this leads me to conclude that people from that part of TX are severely disabled in the head.
