There may be some concern since SUU only has 4,755 students.

Compared to 29,000 for Sac State, 31,000 for UCD, 24,000 for Portland, 20,000 for Weber, the next smallest BSC schools are UNC/EWU at 8,200 students.

Funding at SUU might be dicey since you dont have a large student base to tax for sports if state funding dries up. Long term competitiveness is probably the issue in all sports within the program.

I could care less if SUU is added, the only knowledge of them I have is the chop block they used to employ and Kelvin Minafee (sp).

Got the info from ope.edu. Not very accurate, obviously.

Yeah last year was pretty bad, not trying to say we were amazing or anything i just feel we would be pretty decent in Big Sky Conference play in terms of basketball.

SUU was not playing on a even playing field. Just 3 or 4 years ago they were only playing with 40 something scholarships. They made the commitment to go up to at least 57 scholarships (could be more now) and they brought in a great coach in Ed Lamb and now we are seeing the results. I think SUU is ony going to get better and better and would be the logical choice for the Big Sky. I am pulling for SUU. They have been great conference partners.

PSU's fall inrollment is a little over 28,000. We've been growing fast. :-)
