Quarterback Jeff Fleming, who started nine of 13 games he played in last season for New Mexico State, has transferred to Sacramento State.
Because he is moving from a Football Bowl Subdivision school to a Football Championship Subdivision team, Fleming is eligible to play this season.
The 6-foot-4, 187-pound junior completed 87 of 172 passes (50.6 percent) for 789 yards with four touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2009. He also carried 79 times for 280 yards (3.5 average) and three scores.
A former standout at Fullerton College, Fleming is expected to compete for the backup job behind senior starter McLeod Bethel-Thompson.

If it looks like a cow, smells like a cow, and moo's like a cow, it's a UC Davis coed.
