Dude will probably sell a few hundred tickets himself...
And great publicity - his dad being at the game will attract a lot of Tennessee media attention that normally would not be there.

Wow. You know, jon, I NEVER thought of that angle. If Fischer was coach of ANY other NFL team, it probably wouldn't matter squat...the fact that he's the coach of the Titans just MIGHT make this game mean a little bit more for ESPN and the rest of the nation.

Having lived in Nashville when Brandon signed with Montana - that even made the local sports talk shows, I know the game will get some press, and likely to draw a good crowd from his High School, which is only a couple hours away from Chatty.AZGrizFan wrote:Wow. I can only imagine the love-fest the ESPN cameras will have with Jeff Fischer after watching their infatuation with him last night.

I was wondering how folks in Montana felt about that...if someone watched ESPN and didn't know any different, you'd think Fischer was the only parent who attended...grizchik wrote:I can only imagine the love-fest the ESPN cameras will have with Jeff Fischer after watching their infatuation with him last night.

Yeah, but I would expect any famous parent to get the camera treatment.
At least they pointed out that Fischer never calls Hauck to offer advice!
I think it is great that he can get to games mid-season.

Trying to find a way to do it. I've never been and would like nothing more than to help cheer the Griz to their 3rd NC.dbackjon wrote:LOL - busy with work and softball. How u been? You two going to Chatty?grizchik wrote: Hey to you, dback. What's hangin'? Oh never mind, please don't answer that!!

jon, total props to Fischer, especially the staying out of the parent coaching trap...dbackjon wrote:Yeah, but I would expect any famous parent to get the camera treatment.

And, yes, famous parents will always get the camerqa treatment...
But you gotta admit ESPN lingered on the subject a bit too much, to the point of neglecting any other parents who made the trip...

My sentiments exactly. They KEPT going back to him, like he was some kind of rock star....Col Hogan wrote:I was wondering how folks in Montana felt about that...if someone watched ESPN and didn't know any different, you'd think Fischer was the only parent who attended...grizchik wrote:I can only imagine the love-fest the ESPN cameras will have with Jeff Fischer after watching their infatuation with him last night.

They're probably trying to figure out why Jeff couldn't get him on at Tennessee....

Well, we are lucky John Stockton wasn't there, (his kid also plays for the griz) If he had been, we probably would have only gotten to see the first part of the first quarter, towards the end, and probably highlight style updates in between jerking off over John Stockton and Jeff Fischer. Don't get me wrong, he brings great publicity, but they showed him so much it got a little silly.

Jeff Fisher’s Tennessee Titans own the best record in the NFL at 12-2, but Fisher doesn’t have the best record in his family.
Brandon Fisher is a junior strongside linebacker for the Montana Grizzlies, who are 14-1 entering Friday night’s Division I football championship game against Richmond at Finley Stadium. At a combined 26-3, the Fishers have enjoyed plenty of pleasant father-son conversations this fall.
“We’re both having great years,” Brandon said, “and we’ve said all along that we’re just going to keep plugging along and take a look back once this thing is over. Hopefully, one or both of us can win a championship.”
Jeff attended Montana’s 35-27 upset of No. 1 James Madison last Friday night in Harrisonburg, Va., and plans to be at Finley as well. The Titans played in Houston last week but are home Sunday against Pittsburgh, making travel logistics this week much easier.
Though the two talk regularly, Brandon said football isn’t discussed nearly as much as their passion for hunting and fishing. The Fishers have a cabin three hours away from the Missoula campus, and Brandon said the ability to bow hunt bear, deer and elk played a role in his college choice.
Brandon was a three-time Class 1A all-state selection at Nashville’s Christ Presbyterian Academy, amassing 108 tackles as a senior in 2004. He is the only player on Montana’s roster who lives east of Texas.
