Made the switch to defensive back during spring practice after spending his first three years in the program as a linebacker ... made the transition to DB well in the spring and comes into the fall listed as the top backup at free safety behind starter Dominique McDuffie.

2009: Saw action in five games on special teams and as a reserve linebacker ... made two tackles on special teams in each of the first two contests of the year versus East Carolina and McNeese State.

One of 15 true freshmen to see action... started every game as the Viking punter... had 44 punts for an average of 38.5 yards... longest punt was 65 yards... forced 14 fair catches and kicked 13 inside the 20-yard line.

Player Notes: An explosive running back, carried 132 times for 1,109 yards with 10 TD runs as a senior at Miller HS... caught 31 passes for 520 yards and six touchdowns... rushed for 216 yards on 16 carries against Eisenhower, and caught six passes for 144 yards against Crenshaw... returned 12 kicks for 252 yards... scored 16 touchdowns and 98 total points.
