BUT DOES MONTANA HAVE LOTS OF FANS BC THEYRE CONSISTANLY GOOD? Or are the fans genuwine and would be loyal even in a drought with no big sky champioships, no playoffs????? i dooooont knoooow.
90 percent of the fanbase is loyal and GENUINE to the bone. Win or lose the true fans will always show up for games.

....or.....and I'm just spitballin' here....are the Griz consistently good BECAUSE they have a lot of fans?

The difference between the Griz of the last 20 years, and everybody else, is that a "drought" looks like 8-4. Whereas a drought for anybody else looks like 2-9. Christ, in Bozeman they dance on the fuckin' rooftops if they get 8-4 or 8-3. In Missoula, that's a rebuilding year (and in fact, was my prediction for THIS year's Griz team, as we were supposed to be rebuilding).

In other words, I wouldn't be holding your hand on your ass waitin' for the Griz to have a "down" year. We HAD one---in 2005. :D :D :D Do ya'll realize that since our loss to Cal Poly to end the 2005 season, the Griz are 44-4, with the only losses being to Iowa, UMass, Wofford and Weber?

Weber St. fans I got a question for ya. I just finished watching the replay of the game and why didn't you run Smith a little more? I know I know, we are all just fans and it is all speculation but give me your take on why? There were 4 drives that I counted, and probably more, that he was picking up 5-6 yards on a carry and you constantly went away from that to the passing game. I understand your team loves the passing game and has benifited from it all year but why go away from something that seems to be working? You stalled yourself on 3 of the 4 drives by errant or dropped passes.

You can't provide proof on a speculative point that he was making but I can give you a historical note as to the loyalty. In 1992 the Griz started off the season 1-5 and had to have a 5 game win streak to avoid Don Reads first losing season. The Griz faithful didn't give up and showed up in the same numbers as they had previously. This was after teh semifinal run in 89 and some play off success at that point so that's all I have for any kind of proof. The Griz won their last

The main reason we can't prove it is because we have to stop winning first ;)

Better yet, do us all a favor and just stick a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger.

I know, I was saying the same thing while I was couch Patatoing it while watching the game, Trevyn Smith is our best weapon, He does so well getting Weber all the way down to the redzone, and then they pass, pass, pass, ? What the heck? I guess its just about "mixing it up"

I know Higgins is good, but Smith is our guy, I dont want to take anything away from UM's win, but I believe if Weber would of given Smith the ball both times down in the redzone, Weber would have come away with 14 points and the win. And Nakamura's knee was down before the ball came out, Im not trying to sound ignorant, but it did go down first.
