AGS Ban- Hilarious

I simply was explaining things from my perspective (limited as it may be). I try to go from both sides of any situation and am a fairly straight shooter when it comes to most matters. I will admit I went overboard early on because I was acclimating to the responsibility Ive been given over there but I am not one to just sit back and let the old way of doing things continue. Now I havent had much opportunity to deal with anything of late but my goal is to make sure the rules are followed. Im not one of those "wink wink nudge nudge, hey we're friends so you can overlook this right?" sort of people but I also dont want to be some Draconian legalist either

I sent you a PM on AGS before I found out you got banned but you do realize that its not good form to go posting someone's personal information even if you do have a problem with them. Also, TT is NOT a moderator on AGS, but has been a regular news contributor since the board started. I along with many others have talked to him about "poking the bear" with a number of other users or fanbases and he has graciously done what he has been told (thus giving no reason for any harsher sanction) but that does not give you the right to post personal contact information about them in a public forum. With my computer issues the last few weeks (due to being homeless) I havent been as vigilant as I was initially but I am doing my best to keep an eye on TT and everyone else. I love you brother but there are certain things that shouldnt be done regardless of how you feel about somebody. I mean I have my issues with citdog (and they are well documented on here and AGS) but I would never go to the point of posting his contact information and he hasnt done the same for me. If TT posted your personal or work contact information in his signature (which has since been removed) Id be giving him a two week vacation too

I did not post anything he has not posted before. He went on AGS all proud of what he has done, bragging as usual, and posted the link and then when people poked fun at him, which he asked for by acting so arrogant, he then took offense when folks would do that. Personally, if you don't want your personal information posted then don't put it online. I don't go putting my phone number or email address out there for anyone to see because I don't want it out there. He has all of that on his bio at the New Orleans website and when you are a public figure like himself you set yourself up. There are a lot of head coaches, media, SIDs, etc. who post on AGS but they don't let it be known who they are because they don't want to be contacted for something they said on AGS. TT has done exactly that.

Also, TT has tried posting the actual name of posters on AGS before just as Ralph has done with folks trying to discredit them. The funny thing about it is that I have seen them call folks out thinking they know they are and they don't.

Trust me, I would never post someone's personal information unless it was posted on a link on a public website as it is with Plotkin being at New Orleans.

Part of my beef with him is not just that he is smug, arrogant, a trouble-maker, etc. is that he is how he is being in the position of being an SID and in the media as he is. That is so unprofessional. I firmly believe if he and Ralph weren't cut from the same cloth that TT would have been gone for CSN by now. I know some folks over there who don't like him at all and that is not good when people you work with don't like how you act on the message boards.

BJ - note that SCFBFAN did not post anything that TT previously had posted himself on AGS. Jason did that several years ago to establish his "credentials"

And how does someone who never played football and is a SID for basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc. have credentials as an "expert" in football anyway? This is not meant as a personal attack but a legit question. What makes him an expert at football is all I want to know.

I wrote to SCFBF (not knowing someone else had already given him a ban and I wrote him basically saying what I said on here...that its not cool to just post someone's personal information even if you dont like them or have a problem with what they are doing and to chill out. well I already had a word with him about it. You two need to back off each other. I know that youre a pretty well known poster around these parts but I will shoot both ways so just take it easy and give him some space for a few days and if he keeps goin after you I will give him a few points. Do be mindful that just because youre a pretty regular news contributor doesnt mean I wont give points to you if the need arises. SO give him some space

Of course I didnt find out til after I sent my message to SCFBF that he has been banned and that frankly upset me because Id been trying to work things out between him and TT and get TT to fly straight even though he is pretty well known over there. Since someone above me banned him (and didnt do it through the infraction page) I cant reverse it as much as Id like to

1. Giving someone negative rep points or giving them a strike is nothing. I have been banned 3 times over there. When is someone going to ban him for a month or two months or longer, as I have been?

2. It's okay anyway. I am done posting over there. I thougth with the new owner he would at least talk to TT and have him change his ways. People don't like him because he attacks them. I know some SWAC folks who would love to punch him in the mouth. I know someone at CSN who can't stand him at all. He hides behind a keyboard all day long on AGS, makes you wonder how he keeps his job at UNO, and he attacks folks. I wonder if he would pull that same crap in person? He acts like a 13 year old instead of a grown man most of the time. I guess that is why he and Ralph get along so well. Both have some good qualities about them but have a couple of bad ones that make it hard to see any of the good qualities in either of them.

3. It is sad things have gotten this dramatic because as you guys know besides he and Ralph I stay low key and don't start anything. In fact they have started all of this but unlike many others who stopped going to AGS or just bent over and let them dish it out I did not do that. I stood up and gave it right back to him to see if he can take what he dishes out and obviously he can't.

he's not, have you ever engaged him in an actual discussion about what happens on the field? anytime I've tried it always comes back to some other issue at Southern (baseball coaches, soccer team, softball). My dislike for him is pretty clear, he tried to pull that mess here and was gone in a couple of days.

I don't want to keep piling on the kid, but he wouldn't, hell he won't ever show up at anywhere to see any of us face to face. He's got a standing offer to come to BR for a Southern game if his schedule ever allows.

Exactly. it is not a big deal if you don't know. Many folks here aren't experts but they don't claim to be one and instead try to learn more and listen to those who obviously do know. I'm not saying I am one either but I sure don't get on here flashing my credentials and claim to be one. If folks call me one then that is fine but I don't go bragging about it. The only thing I have ever said is when someone asked me about how I got film I mentioned I worked with all-star games. I wasn't out here flashing my credentials like he has. Unlike him, I have respectfully disagreed on players with folks but we have engaged in good discussion while he only goes back to petty stuff that has nothing to do with it. Then he wonders why nobody reads his blogs and why people don't like him. I tried talking to him about it through PM one day and instead of saying thank you and trying to change his ways he just attacked me about certain things or tried calling me out or defending something minor instead of looking at the real issue.

I don't want to keep piling on the kid, but he wouldn't, hell he won't ever show up at anywhere to see any of us face to face. He's got a standing offer to come to BR for a Southern game if his schedule ever allows.

Yeah and the sad thing is, at least with me, I would not try to bully him but instead sit down with him and explain in person exactly why so many folks can't stand him and what he can do to make things better and improve himself. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure he still wouldn't get it.

This is what I asked earlier and no one responded. How can this guy be a voter in supposedly legitimate polls and on postseason awards for players, like the Payton and the Buchanan? It descredits our level of football.

One of the previous TSN executive directors gave him that priviledge because he wrote for CSN. I personally think that SIDs, radio analysts, and national media only should be voting in these awards.

I think GAS is fighting a losing battle over there, as he is losing/can't get back the majority of the actual contributers and guys like SCFF.

Now that Liberty fan has been very cool with me. I have no problem with him. He was on my side as far as against the ban of me from AGS. The other two I completely agree!

I talked to AGS Admin tonight and we are cool. They have reprimanded TT and asked him to leave me alone and to play nice in general. Also, told me next time he crosses the line he will be banned. They took my ban off and I am not going to tell folks to stay away from AGS. The new Admin did not know the history with TT so I filled them in. I can honestly tell you I believe TT and SE don't have any mod or admin rights there. I believe the Admin. They are a personal friend of mine and I did not even know that they were the admin. Things are good with me and them now but again I will stay over here as long as TT is posting there.
