Well you need to remember superhornet that the Manure Pile just lost their starting QB (and best offensive player) right after spring ball and we get to play Cal Poly on the tail end of 5 road games. Dont count SUU out just yet, this year is setup for us to have a really good shot at taking the Great West

If you hadn't noticed by it's (SH's) predictions, it doesn't really know what it's talking about.

Furman better be at least 8-3.
Citadel was 4-7 last year ( I think) and switching to the TO isn't going to help this year (of course one of their 4 was against us which is one of the reasons we had better be 8-3 this year ).

I am sticking with 8-3 unless some bad news comes out in August. Won't be easy. Our toughest four conference games are on the road. ASU, WC, Elon and Samford. (I do think there are some questions marks as to whether those 4 will be the toughest but it doesn't stop me from billing them as such ) Also, we play GSU last which could means they may have the kinks out of TO by then and may have got a handle on defense to be a problem.

If we are 7-4 with the schedule we have (No offense to Colgate and Howard although I do think Colgate will be good we should still beat them) and there isn't some very good reasons like a pile of injuries, BL better watch out.

Going to have to go with my Thunderbirds to take the Great West in 2010 and also get an at large playoff bid to boot. I really feel that this will be our year to finally get a winning season in the FCS ranks. Hats off to Ed Lamb for doing a hell of a job rebuilding the program.

That's an awfully tall task. If you don't beat Wyoming and/or San Jose State, the best you can be is 8-2 in the eyes of the committee (Dixie St won't count)... that's if you win every other game on your schedule. Scheduling two I-A's and a DII as basically an independant is not a recipe for playoffs.

Going to have to go with my Thunderbirds to take the Great West in 2010 and also get an at large playoff bid to boot. I really feel that this will be our year to finally get a winning season in the FCS ranks. Hats off to Ed Lamb for doing a hell of a job rebuilding the program.

That's an awfully tall task. If you don't beat Wyoming and/or San Jose State, the best you can be is 8-2 in the eyes of the committee (Dixie St won't count)... that's if you win every other game on your schedule. Scheduling two I-A's and a DII as basically an independant is not a recipe for playoffs.

I do agree that it will be very tough to get into the playoffs with a schedule like the one we have ( have to admit not to thrilled with it). However i am going to stay optimistic that we could win the Great West and get our first winning season. Just doing that alone would be a great improvement.

Feel free to review my post from last year. I picked UD to finish 5 - 6 overall and 3 - 5 in the CAA. I was off by 1 game (The Maine game). I agree, I can't be perfect all of the time, but I'll take the 70 - 72% accuracy rate.

It usually takes quite a bit more than your first winning season in years to get an at-large. Have you identified 8 D1 games that you will win?

When they're not playing Eastern, I root for 'em. They put up a decent fight against us, but they were no match for the gunslinger that is/was Matt Nichols.

Whoever picked TXST to take the SLC needs to recheck. (Even if I do appreciate the confidence) It's going to be a dogfight with 4 teams vying for that honor. I'm not predicting anything this year. I can only see us making a deep run if we get the QB situation taken care of almost immediately. We have the players to take it...just waiting to see how it all shakes out once the season starts.
