I have also been to Towson-ODU basketball games. While I cannot comment on their fans, because there weren't any, I liken their teams to Hofstra, only without any athletic ability nor a viable coach.
Like I said, it'll be interesting to see how the building/rebuilding processes work in such differing circumstances.
The tear down was so dramatic at Towson, it was as if Ambrose wasn't even concerned with the games at all. He has completely rid the team of any memories of the last Combs era years. Mentally the team is where it should be, physically, not so sure, which could point to another long season. But years 3-5 will be where we want to be, I believe.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Oh not at all. 2011 is going to be a rude awakening for you and I think you know it. The game against W&M this fall will be a glipse into the future. Laycock would hold back either, up 24-0 against us last year, he wasn't afraid the throw on us late in the 4th quarter.

The word coming out of the Towson Camp is that they'll be bigger and stronger in 2010 as well as have a little more depth.

Yes. Especially if Morgan Green gets into his graduate program. The offensive line is still thin, which is worrisome. The transfer QB looked pretty good in the spring game. He needs some work with throwing so hard.

Having depth @ QB is a good thing, but I think Athens is still your #1 guy.

The SS Towson be a once mighty an proud ship dat had been takin on too much waterrr fer too many years. Layabouts an skylarks amungst her crew thar was. Captain Ambrose came abord to whip tha crew an patch her hull. She has made her turn towards tha swells.
Tha SS ODU still be but a rowboat in tha mighty CAA waters. Make sail for yer course be made, an batten down tha hatches. Rough seas lie ahead me boys, rough seas. Of this, me be certain. Aaarrr!
