Drove to the border last week with my brother as he had a job going in Coronado National Memorial right near the Mexican border. While on the freeway, we noticed several vehicles headed South that looked like this:
Didn't think much of it at the time, but then I got to thinking...perhaps this is the impact of the AZ immigration bill, SB 1070. Illegals leaving the state in droves....

So, this weekend I had to drive to Tucson again for a conference. On my way back today, I decided to actually COUNT the number of vehicles that were headed south towards Mexico that were loaded with all their worldly possessions. They're pretty easy to spot, and pretty easy to classify as illegals, since no red-blooded American would ever load his vehicle like that.
I counted 93 dangerously overloaded vehicles in a stretch of just over 100 miles.
Now, this is purely anecdotal evidence, and they could just as easily have been relocating to somewhere further south, but still north of the border. But I've driven that stretch of road at least 100 times and I've NEVER seen anything like this exodus. And that's 93 families headed south in a 2-hour stretch, over a month before the law actually takes effect. Extrapolating that number over the next 3-4 weeks REALLY makes it impactful.
