Oh, but here's another goody left on the answering machine of GA Senator John Lewis. It pertains more to your initial request of dropping the N'bomb in response to health care. I believe the guy is calling from "Smyrna," just north of ATL. Enjoy:

That's nice, but you were asked to provide video or audio from the rally in Washington on the eve of the health care debacle vote. You know, the rally where several Donk legislators claimed that the crowd was chanting the "N word", and John Lewis claimed to hear it at least 15 times....We're still waiting.JMU DJ wrote: Oh, but here's another goody left on the answering machine of GA Senator John Lewis. Oh BTW...care to tell us where exactly in that little youtube video the caller identifies himself as a Tea Party supporter?
Thanks....
And for your enjoyment....threatening calls from the Donk Side

Yup, racism exist on both side and I don't care for either. Unlike you, I'm not going to sit here and try to defend it and say it doesn't exist in the health care debate. The points you've missed or ignored in this thread, is that racism is playing a role in the choice voters are making when it comes to the health care reform bill. If you don't like the bill and you have a rational argument for that, fine, but denying the fact that some people who don't like the Heath care bill because of racial issues is ridiculous. Look at the Tea Party rally signs posted by Appa (or find some others for yourself), listen to the childish remarks by congressmen and Tea Party supporters who make comparisons between the health care bill and 9-11/German Concentration Camps/muslim take over, listen to former congressman Tom Tancredo at a Tea Party rally saying there should be a literacy test to make sure everyone who votes speaks English (funny considering there are states in this country who have bilingual constitutions).
Does it matter if the guy in the video is a Tea Party Supporter? For the Tea Party maybe. Fact is, a man who doesn't like the health care bill called a state representative, and slurred him with racial epithets, including the "N'word". The congressman just happened to again be John Lewis. The Tea Party may not support this type of behavior, as they have shown along with Republican members of congress by publicly condemning those who slurred Lewis in D.C., so why do you refuse to believe racism is playing a role?

Dude, are you really going to waste your time talking about and dwelling on the 1 percenters? There are extremists on both sides. There are some who didn't vote for Obama because he is black just like there are some who voted for Obama because he is black.
Ummm, yes it does matter if that person is a Tea Party supporter because you, the people who think like you, and the media are trying their best to smear and marginalize the entire group as a racist.Does it matter if the guy in the video is a Tea Party Supporter? Nobody is trying to say that racism hasn't played a role...it has for decades. For some reason you obviously, but erroneously, think it makes up a substantial proportion of Obama's opposition. Sorry, but that just isn't just the case.
NOW...would you please try and get this thread back on topic?
Re: Racist Tea Bag F**KERS!!!
Why'd you start a thread about it then? Seems like you're the one dwelling on this issue. I've already said there are extremist/racist on both sides, so I don't know what this is a counterpoint to.Baldy wrote:

Like I said, it matters to the Tea Party if the guy who left the voice mail for John Lewis is a member of their organization. Then there is more basis for the rational that this group contains racist members/ideals... again, check the signs at Tea Party rallies and statements made by politicians/members at Tea Party events. For some reason, you've obviously chosen to ignore these. The point of that statement was that it doesn't matter who the guy is associated with, for all we know he's a liberal, is that he's letting race play a role in the issue when it has absolutely nothing to do with it.Baldy wrote:

I've never said it makes up a majority of voters beliefs/reasons for voting for one candidate over another, just saying it's there and that there's evidence of Tea Bagger racism. Nice projection on what I think though.
Puh-lease, off topic? From the man who opened up the Tea Bagger race discussion

Ummm, read the title of the article. This thread is about black people who are Tea Party supporters, and the vitriol they go through and bullshit they have to put up with from people like you who try to mock and marginalize them.JMU DJ wrote: Why'd you start a thread about it then? Say what?Like I said, it matters to the Tea Party if the guy who left the voice mail for John Lewis is a member of their organization.
You have not one inkling of evidence or proof that it was a Tea Party supporter, so why even bring it up in this thread?
So fvcking what? There are probably more racists in the Dim Party than there are in the Tea Party movement. Then there is more basis for the rational that this group contains racist members/ideals... again, check the signs at Tea Party rallies and statements made by politicians/members at Tea Party events.
Again, these are the 1 percenters. Why are you so infatuated?
Exactly, because you don't have any idea who these people are. They could be Liberals or Conservative or Libertarians or Communists, or whatever.....but you are trying to lump them into the Tea Party movement. Why?For some reason, you've obviously chosen to ignore these.
You haven't shown ANY evidence of racism from the Tea Party movement, just a very select few INDIVIDUALS in a few pictures that could be from last week or last decade or the pics could even be photoshopped for all we know.I've never said it makes up a majority of voters beliefs/reasons for voting for one candidate over another, just saying it's there and that there's evidence of Tea Bagger racism. Nice projection on what I think though.
The movement is larger than just a tiny miniature handful of individuals. Keep trying though.
Again, try to pay a little better attention. This thread got hijacked by you and jellybelly. The topic of the thread is black Tea Party supporters and racism they receive from fellow blacks and people who think like you.Puh-lease, off topic? From the man who opened up the Tea Bagger race discussion

Sure, but instead of talking about the issues, countless threads have been started about bigotry and racism, countless news articles/media stories are published in this regard. The racist accusations have become the focus of Health Care Reform and of the Tea Party instead of the actual issues themselves, thus this is what we are left with. Finger pointing from both sides of the issue when the issue isn't even being discussed. As I said earlier, it's clear that race is playing a role in some peoples decisions (let's say 1%
