WCU extends Wagner's contract
CULLOWHEE — The Western Carolina University board of trustees unanimously approved a one-year contract extension for Dennis Wagner, who recently turned down a position at the University of Kansas to remain as the Catamounts’ head football coach.
The board approved the contract extension as part of its quarterly meeting.

Does that mean you won't have to change uniforms & logos for another year?

They need to give him some time to get his footing and get his recruits up and running. I can't say I'm completely pulling for you, but I would like to see the Cats become a more solid contender as they have been in the past. Hopefully the fanbase and administration will have some patience with Wagner.

Oh they will. I think the chancellor and his little cadre of supporters had their phones ringing off the hooks during Briggs last season and I don't think they liked what they heard. There is a reason they are throwing more $$$ at the program now than they have in years. I like it!ASUG8 wrote:They need to give him some time to get his footing and get his recruits up and running.
