Assuming there is not a Texas team in the game, all 3,500 attendees should have no problem finding spaces. If a Texas team is in it, maybe the 9,000 spectators can carpool.

I don't know who would consider Frisco a destination area. It's basically just a bunch of chain restaurants, stores, and pretentious attitudes
"In addition, the Cotton Bowl game will be that same night at 7pm in Arlington." Didn't take UNT fans long to understand.

So for all of those of you out there that have pretty much nothing good to say about moving the Chipper to Frisco, do you hope that they lay an egg? So you can say you were right? So you can say that Chatty is the best?

:ohno:

So you are rooting for the most miserable, error filled, poor planning, shitty conditions, bad fan support and poor football in the next 3 years? Just so you can say, " YUP I was right. Chatty is the best place to have the game. It was a big mistake to move the game. "???? WTF HEN?

You would want the FCS to fall even more down the rung on the national stage, just for selfish reasons?

Don't worry, it probably won't happen. A CAA or SoCon team will bail it out.

Why do you give a FVF, anyway? By the time the Hens make it back in 2027, the game will have long since moved elsewhere. :coffee:

Why's that? It's not like they'll have to put up with the purple streamers.

I don't see Villanova bailing anyone out. If they can't find their way to 'Nooga they won't find their way to Dallas

Exactly. A CAA team. UD. Other than that, the rest of them don't travel for SHIT.

Assumption
1.something taken for granted; a supposition
2.the act of taking for granted or supposing

And why are you making that assumption? Some SoCon fans went to the game in Chatty without their team in it... very few... not enough to make a dent in the attendence (butts in the seats, not tickets sold). Why would the SLC be different? Do they have larger fanbases than the SoCon? Do they have better attendance than the SoCon? Is there something else i'm missing?
Because I can not presume to speak for other conferences.

It's been fun reading all these posts, after getting home from work today. Boy, some of you are really bent over this, aren't you?
The decision has been made. Ranting isn't going to change the fact they moved the game.
Some of you won't make a game in Frisco. Some will find it a financial or challenging hardship.
I've never been to an NC game. I came close in 2005. If not for the loss I was ready to book my flight, etc. Otherwise, I never would have gone. Now that my husband is retired, it isn't in the cards for me to just up and go on a weeks' notice (since 2007 really) This gives me a chance to go to any, or all, of the next 3 NC games with minor inconvenience. And if/when it is moved again I likely won't be able to manage it.
Why is it so hard for some of you to set aside your prejudices and give the new locale a fighting chance? Is it arrogance? Cause that's not a reason. Money? I can see that...been there. Just plain hate?
All this wasted typing on something you can do nothing but bitch about. (hey, I'm doing it too)
I bet we can go back and forth on this, ad nauseum. It isn't going to make a bit of difference. The game is in Frisco for the next 3 years.

No matter where the game is held, there will be people who will complain about it.
And 99% of the entire internet is "wasted typing" and complaining, because that is just how people are.
(well, okay: 99% of the non-porn internet. which makes it maybe 5% of the ENTIRE internet  )

Weren't you the one bashing these claims of " if Team A makes it it will be a sell out GUARANTEED"?

Tis a shame, i've never been to chatty but i've always wanted to go. I have never even heard of frisco becore this debacle, i thought it was short for San Francisco. This is a utter joke and wont do a thing to help attendance, i could have driven to chatty now i have to make like 3 connecting flights to get to this little town.

If they really wanted to do something, they would have moved it somewhere where people could do stuff near the stadium. Orlando would have been nice, disney ftw.

Whenever i go to a sporting even i stay within walking distance of that stadium, it should never be any different. People shouldnt have to drive to the stadium(yes i realize there is 1 hotel near it but really, 1?!?!)

I guess its a good thing i wont have to worry about this till Bennett is gone though :( :( :(

Big diffference. I wasn't listening to people who had been there for the game. NOBODY has been yet, so speculation is all we have at this point. If the game next year is a huge success, I will have to eat crow, and will have no problem doing so. Just like I did when I was anti-Chatty and then went.
I'll grant you THAT difference but the thing that is exactly the same as last time is this...wait until you go there to start just shit balling the thing with little experience in the accommodations. I'm gonna wait til' I have the chance to test it out. Now after that or after hearing others personal experiences then the groundwork for the lobby against it will have something to go on other than emotion. :thumb:

This is only really a travel negative for the Socon and some CAA South teams.

Where are you flying from? Myrtle Beach to Dallas - 1 connection through Atlanta. Dallas is one of the largest airports in the US.

The real reason they moved the game was because my Bearkats will make the game the next 3 years and they wanted to cut travel expenses for our team.  :thumb:
