After 98 years of no football, Radford played its first game in April 2008 against the George Mason Patriots.
So... Radford has a football team, so why not compete in the NCAA!

Re: Big South Forum
Presbyterian might be having more fun than most people know in the next two seasons. Even after going 0-11, we pulled in the strongest recruiting class in our history on 3 February. With a coach who actually knows what he's doing, stability of the assistant coaches and staff, and the immanent influx of a six-figure paycheck from upcoming games against Clemson and Wake Forest, we're building something special way under the radar. I think we'll win 4 games in 2010, and as more recruiting classes come in and turn into veterans, we'll become a bigger threat every year we play football at this level. It will probably take another 8 years or so to get to where we want to be because the step from DII to I-AA is one heck of a jump. But we'll get there little by little. Coach Nichols and his staff are doing quite a job in Clinton.

Gotta agree! It takes time and of course money to build a program but I think you are on the right track. No team in the Big South can be taken for granted this year.Hoseinexile07 wrote:Presbyterian might be having more fun than most people know in the next two seasons. A Seawolf is a mythological nordic creature. When you see one it brings you good luck. This hasn't worked in NY until the past two years or soDKHardee wrote:ok... a Chantifcleer is a french Rooster.

Well whatever it is... I like having them in the Big South. Too bad NY isn't in the south. We could change the name of the Big South to the Big East but I think thats already taken, lol.Redwyn wrote:A Seawolf is a mythological nordic creature. When you see one it brings you good luck. Im gonna have to go with SB on this one. I hope they beat Liberty again... but thats only because I think we (CCU) have a shot against SB and not so sure about LU.kuntryboimike wrote:HAHA! im bitter from last yr. our defense should "in theory" be MUCH better this yr and our offense has always been good so we'll see wut happens. and u might light things up all season but when u come into LU's house i can see yall gettn burned! good luck on ur ooc games tho id like to see yall win thoseRedwyn wrote:

Yes i can see us in the Big South past 2012. It is good conference and some good rivalries are developing between SBU and Liberty and CCU. Not to mention that GWU fan who is a photographer-kudos to him with some great action photos of all the teams. I think our Ad made a good choice going with you guysRedwyn wrote:I like us here too. Re: Big South Forum
Out of curiosity guys i have a friend who is a coach and he went to a clinic at Carson Newman this past spring to learn more on their version of the triple option offense (splitback veer) according to the coach there the team may possible be considering moving up to 1-AA in the near future, was wondering do you guys think he would make a good fit in the Big South?

Good D-2 school. Kinda on the small side (2200 students) for DI. Presby adn VMI, at 1300 each, are smaller.
Not too far out of the footprint of the Conference, in East Tennesse.
After Campbell rejoins, they will be at 11.

Re: Big South Forum
Carson-Newman would be a good addition, so would Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate from the South Atlantic Conference. Out of those three, I think Wingate would have the best infrastructure and monetary means to do it.
