Snow compiled 10-2 record in 2009, was ranked No. 5 in nation and won the bowl game ... Snow went 11-2 during freshman year, was ranked No. 2 in nation and lost in 2008 NJCAA national championship game ... Here is some info from a local sports anchor that covers recruiting, these are the guys he is most excited about...

Grant Olson(LB)- Has not talked to anyone who doesn't rave about him. Very competive and has a presnece when he walks into a room. Very mature, doesn't think he has to go to a Wyoming or a FBS school in order to feel good about himself. Just wants to go to a good school and get a good education. He is the complete package. Heard over and over that the Gophers missed on him.

Billy Turner(OL)- Great frame, coach told him that the day he verbaled he returned a kick for 32 yards(he is an OL). Many people say the Gophers missed out on him.

Zach Vraa(WR)- Tremendous get, great size, great hands. Some questions about the offense he played in but he has the qualities you want in a receiver.

Carlton Littlejohn(LB)-Most intriguing player from the Twin Cities, will play at LB. Came out of a tough neighborhood but is a good kid and a real leader. Hallstrom thinks he could play right away.

Ryan Smith(RB)- He has tremendous speed and balance, low center of gravity, great through the hole. He is the kind of Weston Dressler type of player that hasn't come out of ND for a while(basically the fastest kid to come out of ND in four or five years).

Travis Beck(LB)- Did a lot of things at high school, Bohl really likes him, said he has a bit of nasty streak in him. Could be a special teams asset.

Wildcard- John Crockett(RB)- 41 tds this past season, regional expert said he is one of the biggest steals in MN this year. Has had some challenges in his development as a young man, needs to do some more work in order to qualify like Marcus Williams had to do this past year. Officially visited Michigan and Michigan State before he had some troubles. If he adjusts he could be a tremendous asset for the Bison, a Paschall level talent.

OFFENSE

The Bison recruited five offensive linemen, three wide receivers, two running backs and one quarterback. Look for the wide receivers to make an impact early. “They are really talented skilled players with proven track records,” Bison head coach Craig Bohl said, referring to Trevor Gebhart of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Wes Hudson of Houston and Zach Vraa of Rosemount, Minn.

DEFENSE

The Bison recruited seven linebackers and three safeties. “As you look at the game, those linebackers are becoming more viable from the standpoint as offenses begin to use different formations, those guys need to be great adjusters,” Bohl said. Two of the linebackers are junior college transfers – Dillon Forbes from Harper Junior College in Wisconsin and Chad Willson from Snow Junior College in Utah.

MEETING NEEDS

Bohl feels they’ve met the needs at linebacker, safety and wide receiver. And he says they all have speed. “As we transitioned into Missouri Valley football, no matter what position you play, you better be able to run,” Bohl said. “Mobility, speed and explosion needed to be upgraded. We identified that.” The only position Bohl is still hoping to fill is a placekicker.
