I hear that Cal Poly also has a defensive player from the FBS transfering in. Looking forward to finding out who and will post here when I find out.

Seriously though, good pick up for Cal Poly. California kid going home. I guess Noel Devine coming back for his senior season and Freshman Ryan Clarke ahead of him on the depth chart, Rodgers wants to go somewhere he can actually take some carries instead of just being a ST player. Good move for Cal Poly and good move for Mark Rodgers!

We are definitely going to see quite a bit of this moving forward. Good decision by these players, realizing the benefits of FCS football, and that you still have a chance to move to the next level.

Where'd you hear the rumor about the FBS defensive player transfering SloStang? I hope that turns out true.

Also, have you told them about our 5 star, 7th ranked in the country kicker verbal yet?

While we have a Poly recruits thread on the top, we just picked up Joseph Coleman of Moreau Catholic

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Coleman was the Bay Shore Athletic League lineman of the year this season, as well as WAC and Mountain West interest.
Rodgers will add to our already pretty fast recruiting class.

He's one of our 2 fast slotbacks who sport a 4.4 fourty.

Kinda weird how he'll be playin' against his former teammate, Dominik Davenport who transferred from WVU to ODU this off-season, in a Cal Poly/ODU matchup from all things. Congrats on landing him; seems like a real good player.

Cal Poly adds another FBS transfer. This one has a big last name. 6'3" 250 Baylor DE Matt Singletary (son of Hall of Fame LB and SF 49er head coach Mike Singletary) is transfering to Cal Poly. He will be a redshirt Jr in 2010.
