Senior Bowl Thread

Post by Col Hogan »

The Senior Bowl starts at 4pm EST on the NFL Network...

FCS players are:

UMass OL Vladimir Ducasse
The Citadel WR Andre Roberts
Murray State DE Austen Lane

Lots of people have been at the practices, rating player...

One is Josh Buchanan, who puts out a small school draft projection (Obviously small school to him means FCS and lower, not the student body size)

The three Senior Bowl players top his current list, put out last night...all three remain in the same place on his list, but have moved up a little in his draft round projections...

Good luck to all..

Second big catch for him. Both in cross routes to the middle of the field. The second one was in a whole lot of traffic and got him once he brought it in.

Youngstown State WR Donald Jones is also in the game. He had a nice catch in the third quarter!

So far I think all the FCS players have shown they can play at the next level...

Roberts has looked real good on a couple of catches...

No kidding. I think the biggest issue for the south was on the O-Line, they just could protect the QB with Tebow and the WVU QB getting frustrated by it. So with this, the Wide Receivers weren't going to have more oppurtunities. All-in-all very proud of Roberts. He did good things withoput the ball as well. Once he can beef up and do what he has to do for the NFL teams, he will be something to watch.

Yea, the Souths o-line...especially on the left side...did not provide much time for the QBs...

Other than one penalty, Vlad Ducasse looked good on the left side of the North o-line...he's going to do well on Sundays...

One of the blogger I posted in another thread said that he thought Roberts' performance this week in practices had moved him up to a possible second round pick. That is huge. I watched him as much as a could, (although the camera was usually on the South QB running for his life most of the time) and he appeared to get free and clear on several routes.

Have a good combine and then somebody call John Fox! I would love to see Andre on the right and Steve Smith on the left.

I think Fox might find a remedy for that next season.... have Delhomme ride the pine.

I would use Moore, or trade up for a QB in the first round...then get some defensive players. The only thing holding Carolina back on Offense is Delhomme

Delhomme needs to be shown alternative employment options because tossing the rock on a consistent basis recently is not working for him. Time for Fox to be a head coach and make the tough decisions.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
