ODU Drops Georgetown and adds Hampton to the 2010 Schedule

This argument is funny. I think most of us would be happy going 6-5 and 1-2 vs Cal Poly/W&M/Gardner-Webb. I'd LOVE for ODU to be in the 2010 playoffs, but I'm equally happy if we show further improvement. CAA play is slowly but surely creepin' up on us. In the meantime, enjoy a VERY rare view of Foreman Field:

I'm pretty sure ODU will finish better than 6-5! You guys are going somewhere with that football program! Crazy stuff how much snow you guys are getting down there! Even crazier was how we were supposed to get a coating to an 1" up here in NW Va. and ended up with 6+"! Can't wait for winter to be over with already!

I can't wait for our first home playoff game, whenever that may be. It's going to be one helluva an atmosphere and a very special event. It won't get a loud as your stadium, but Foreman can get REALLY noisy. But again, I'll be happy to even be in the playoffs, home or away.

My guess is that the lights were on for security purposes. Foreman's been sneaked into more than a few times this year, so when you add snow and drunk kids on a Saturday night, I can imagine a security issue arising.

IF ODU can go 9-2 again with THAT schedule, they might be the quickest playoff team EVER.

Was thinking what it would take to make the playoffs. I thought Coastal made it pretty fast, but I just looked and it was their 4th year. They did go 10-1 in year 2...

W: Morehead, Davidson, North Greenville, Charleston, VMI, Liberty, G-W, Savannah St, Jacksonville, Chuck Southern

L: Newberry

W&M and CalPoly clearly better than anyone on that Coastal schedule, but if ODU loses to those two, are their wins appreciably better? The one thing they'd have going for them is the expanded field... and 20,000 fans (OK, two).

10-1 could do it as long as W&M or CPSLO are both decent. Chances are G-W would stack up as a pretty decent win too.

And we know that won't happen! The schedule is much improved over last years with W&M, Hampton U., Cal Poly, and G-W. Our team will also be much improved although our W-L record might not show it.
