Re: 2009 FCS Attendance
So, there are five schools in the entire division that average right at 20,000 or better. One is a start up program that technically isn't even in the division yet and another is a school which doesn't participate in the playoffs. Sad.

So you're saying App's attendance was "Sad" until four years ago.AppMan wrote:So, there are five schools in the entire division that average right at 20,000 or better. Re: 2009 FCS Attendance
Interesting: On the bottom of page 3, Villanova gets credit for 1 game in Chatty, with an attendance of 14,328. Is that because they were technically the "home" team at the NC game?

That would be my guess. I figure that it also affects the other columns like Capacity percentage.AZGrizFan wrote:Interesting: On the bottom of page 3, Villanova gets credit for 1 game in Chatty, with an attendance of 14,328. Is that because they were technically the "home" team at the NC game?

Re: 2009 FCS Attendance
YSU will be back in the top 10 next year when we return to the playoffs! We lost a lot of fans simply because Heacock was still coaching, but with the new coach in charge, the new local recruits, and the attitude that YSU football is back, expect the ICE CASTLE to be rocking in 2010!
Re: 2009 FCS Attendance
I think they listed it that way to show th NC game is not included in the other Nova numbers. They did play 9 home games prior to the NC game.AZGrizFan wrote:Interesting: On the bottom of page 3, Villanova gets credit for 1 game in Chatty, with an attendance of 14,328. Check my math, because if it is correct is is pretty sad. Total NOVA attendance is shown at 56,888 for a 9 home game. Subtract out the Temple game @ The Linc (27,759) and the Delaware game (12,073); now NOVA had 17,056 fans in the remaining 7 home games (2,400/game). Am I missing something?

Nova wasn't the home team against Temple.

OT - how do you get that many home games in an 11 game schedule? I'd like to pass this one to our AD.

Nova had five regular season home games averaging 9,000, three playoff games at about 4,000 each, plus Chatty.

Based on what the other side of the stands looked like in Chatty, I'd say you're figures are pretty accurate.jd of de wrote:I think they listed it that way to show th NC game is not included in the other Nova numbers. Re: 2009 FCS Attendance
Let's hope so. A good YSU team is good for FCS! The tradition is there and I hope it returns. I watched a YSU game last year and it looked really pathetic. No crowd and a terrible football team.guinzone wrote:YSU will be back in the top 10 next year when we return to the playoffs! Pry right. I imagine if that place is full you can list attendance at around 50K if you wanted. Because when there has been about 4-5K in attendance its listed as about 10K...guinzone wrote:YSU will be back in the top 10 next year when we return to the playoffs! When we sell tickets, which is revenue, what do you expect us to do? The Missouri State and Austin Peay game had accurate attendance numbers. The others were not close.DJH wrote:Pry right.
