After spending the year redshirting at Troy, Greg Pratt has enrolled at Liberty University and will be joining the football program. The 5'8 back has tremendous speed, and was highly regarded at Troy, and left the school on good terms.
Looks like he just wasn't comfortable at Troy, no other reasons given for him leaving. His HS coach is an LU grad, according to a Troy board, so that may have played a role.

Good pickup for Liberty. You guys will always have a niche for transfers I think. There are a lot of kids that would probably feel more comfortable in the Liberty setting than at most state universities.

For every kid or two it scares away, it gives us a guy better than we deserve at this point.danefan wrote:Good pickup for Liberty. You guys will always have a niche for transfers I think. Fortunately it's in Lynchburg this yearkuntryboimike wrote:SB and LU both getting good transfers. gonna be a great game between the 2.
We are stacked at RB - last year's leading rusher (a True-FR) might be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart, and that's if he doesn't change positions.

The Big South gotta find a way to televise this. They'd be foolish not to given how lopsided the conference seems to have become.jcmanson wrote:Fortunately it's in Lynchburg this yearkuntryboimike wrote:SB and LU both getting good transfers. gonna be a great game between the 2.

Liberty doesn't rely on the Big South to televise games. We televise all of our home games on our own.

Liberty has one of the best TV deals in all of FCS football. It will be on Family net if you get that up in New York. if not I think KK should do something about getting it broadcast up in your neck of the woods.
Re: Troy RB Greg Pratt Transfers to Liberty
Hmm, unless it's on satellite I don't think we get that. SBU worked out a deal with MSG+ for basketball games. Perhaps the exposure with the new FBS opponents will get us a football game or two. Certainly a bigger market now without Hofstra splitting the constituency.ATL wrote:Liberty has one of the best TV deals in all of FCS football.
