I didn't exactly deem the post count threads as a waste of horseshit time by myself but I was vocal in my belief that they were just silly palaver that makes you kind of feel like you have to say "congratulations" for a menial achievements. Most of the posters on this board can stand on WHAT they post and not how many times they can hit the subit button.

A guy like you for instance is funny, witty, and so forth. Why would you need some thread when your board presence is felt through your intellect & humor...maybe we should have some of those threads for guys like andy though.

JMU is done. They are only getting the Old Dominion throwaways from southeastern Virginia. Build yourself a nice stadium boys, because the stadium will be the only good part of the JMU football program.

Wow. That didn't take long. We've already been through this bit about SE Va. We'll be fine with the recruts we get elsewhere. Did you guys recruit Thorpe? How'd that work out. You're going have to go outside the 757 to win NCs.

Anyway, recruits are only as good as the coaches that get them. Ours has won a national championship. Yours can't take those five stars (or whatever you think they are) and beat Monmouth. Or Fordham. We'll see how it goes against W&M next year before we're "done."

And if you really want to see the relevance of a recruiting pissing match, see JMU vs. Richmond. Common sense would say that coming off a N.C. would help us out-recruit UR. That may have happened on paper, but obviously Clawson/London got more of of their '04/'05 class than Matthews did.

JMU just landed a 3 star from VA Beach, right in ODU's back yard, Dejor Simmons, who had 4 I-A offers: UConn, Duke, Marshall and Toledo :

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. I can't find the roster from the NC team, but just two year later I count 27 players from the 757 area code. Last season I count 10, and only 3 of them from the last 2 recruiting classes. You will still get a few. Some kids have to get away from bad influences around home. But your coaching staff will have to fan out in other directions to find them. That takes a lot of time and effort.

I agree on the 3 W's, but define "Surprise". I too think you'll surprise teams, but more than just 2. By surprise, I don't necessarily mean win, but play very competitively. Of course a lot depends on the growth and maturity of your QB/OL, and overall health of your team combined with depth.

Last year you guys lacked experience and depth. You may have a little more experience this year, but not sure the depth will be where you need it to be yet. You're at least one more year away from attaining same.

Well the good news coming out of Towson is that we got a JUCO QB transfer with two year left to play. That means the true freshman QB that had to start last year and blew out his knee can redshirt and sit the next and be truely ready to play for two solid years.
