I don't really think of Soldier Field would be considered simply updated. It was more like they ripped out the interior and landed a flying saucer in the pit between the columns. A horrid combination of neo-classical and modern architectural styles.
On topic, I hope to make it to a game at the Tub some day.
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm
MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.
It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Agree on the soldier field thing but was just using it as a point of reference.
Everyone so far that has commented on the field turf says its a great move, but to me its sad. The schools stilll playing on grass are fewer and fewer. Football was made to be played outdoors on grass with dirt and mud. Not on this fake grass sh*t.
I believe this will just leave URI as the only CAA team still playing on grass. For JMU I believe that means they will have only 2-3 games this season on grass- @ VT, @ VMI, and possibly @ URI.

Been to 3 JMU @ UD games. I always thought that pissing wall would be some type of health code violation in most states. Guess not in Delaware.

Yeah, it's so much less sanitary than touching the same urinal handle that 500 other people touched that day.
Puhlease. The pee wall is the model of hands-off sanitation and ease of entry/exit.
The Tub is going to be sick when the additions are done. Imagine the far end zone in this pic being enclosed and a wall of suites/boxes above the stands on the left. It's going to be loud! As mentioned previously, the newer stadiums built to code just don't have the pitch that the stands do at the Tub. You have a lot of people within spitting distance in Newark.

It was also made to be played without all these helmets and pads, and certainly without facemasks.
And basketball was made to be played with peach baskets.

You can wash your hands after touching a urinal handle. You can't wash the piss splatter off your jeans from the drunk a**es pissing on either side of you as people cram up against the wall.
