Being and living in St. Louis, this has been a question that ive thought about for a few years now. Advantages, SLU is in a great location in STL, they have been expanding their campus and are competitive in other sports., and already has a solid recuriting base in town.
Minuses have never fielded a football team, dont know if they have a strong enough backing to start up a team, where would games be played?
Just really got me thinking now since fellow A10 member UNC Charlotte will be fielding a team. any thoughts about that?
Could SLU field a team?

Why not? They're not too far from Evangel, which is a private school that has sponsored football for decades. They could easily go NAIA or D-III to start. What's the big deal with that?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
