CAA in the Championship Game...

Montana will have an enormous home-field advantage this week, but if Appy pulls the upset they'll have an enormous home-field advantage the following week. I think that's the scenario that could cock block another CAA championship this year. Appy is tough to beat in the SoCon invitational.

a) interesting that you feel an App State victory would be an upset, given that most people feel Montana's "soft" schedule hasn't adequately prepared them for the playoffs
b) Boone to Chatty is 270 miles
b) Williamsburg to Chatty is 504 miles.

If W&M beats Villanova, they've got no excuse for not packing that stadium (other than the fact that nobody gives a shit about CAA football). But in that scenario, don't blame the proximity.

I'm guessing the fact that App State is half the distance away that W&M is and the fact that they have triple the enrollment and alumni, and that they've been in three of the last four championship games might make just the slightest bit of difference, or were you deliberately trying to glaze over those facts?

I'm guessing you didn't watch the W&M at SIU telecast either, huh? There were quite a few W&M fans there for such a tiny school. Not nearly enough to fill up the home stands at Chatty, but pretty impressive nonetheless.

I don't know if you're a baseball fan...but I'm a huge Red Sox fan...If they don't win the pennent, I always root for the American League team (except if that team comes from New York City)...

I'll always root for the CAA team...except UNH...just can't do that...
