We fans have seen enough wins and losses to realize it is a game, however, if the Griz lose it is usually by a quality team playing a tough game. SDSU almost pulled it off and if you have I would have given your team the credit (not like the posters on the JMU board last year)

Sure, there are bitchy JMU fans and I'm sure some of them talked about the "what ifs" while in the process belittling the Griz victory... but for every pompous, arrogant JMU fan, there's a GATW, Clenz or EWU fan.

You are correct JMU, that is where it was. Tried to congratulate JMU on a solid year and great game and all the Griz fans got was that Montana was not that good and JMU never turns the ball over, Landers got hurt, would have beat the Griz by 20 etc. etc. etc. Disappointment is natural but it was 100% JMU's fault and nothing Montana did but show up to receive their gift.

We had a couple on here as well DJ. You are correct though there are not many JMU alumn/fans that have been on here in the last year that are not solid gold so they were primarily forgotten.

How do two teams, both ranked in the top 10 in total defense, end up in a 61-48 shootout? How are 109 points of offense scored when neither team breaks 400 yards in total offense? Here's how:

SDSU's had two TD drives of 11 and 2 yards. They had another drive of 3 yards that ended in a field goal. Another TD was the result of a 63 yard pass play in which the receiver was tackled at the 2. They also blocked a punt for a touchdown. That's 31 points on turnovers deep in opponent territory/broken plays.

Montana's first two TD drives were a whopping 18 and 25 yards. They returned a kickoff for a TD, and returned an interception for a TD. That's 28 points (in 4 plays) off of turnovers deep in opponent territory/special teams.

This game should have been a 33-17 score, which would have been right in line with other Griz games this year against an above-average opponent. The fact that the offense, when it NEEDED to, generated five STRAIGHT TD drives (sandwiched around the kickoff return with the interception return as the exclamation point) and the defense served up 6 straight drives beginning with 2:20 left in the 3rd quarter in which SDSU generated a whopping total of 61 yards of total offense is what begat the miracle comeback we were fortunate to witness.

The same Griz offense that went 3 plays/interception, 2 plays/fumble, 4 plays/punt, 6 plays/punt then reeled off consecutive TD drives of 12/62, 11/79, 8/66, 4/52, and 5/41 in times of 4:13, 3:05, 2:15, 1:19 and 1:34. Truly an offensive performance for the ages, and one that I for one was CERTAIN the Griz (and specifically Andrew Selle) did NOT have in them.

Whatever happens this weekend in Washington Grizzly Stadium I'm just glad I'll be there to witness it.

And after all this, I can't believe noone caught the fact that I completely missed the blocked punt for a TD.

And it wasn't just JMU fans, but CAA fans in general (surprise, surprise) over there who tried to act like the win was a complete fluke, and didn't give us any credit for pulling off a pretty big upset. I'm sure they were happy we weren't going to win, but still had the opportunity to root for a CAA team, as you would probably pull for a Big Sky team if there was ever one left besides Montana. I only called you out because you've been a Douchey McDoucherson recently, but I am glad you used your big boy words and didn't tell me to "choke on a dick and die" or something along those lines.
