How much does your FCS coach make?
I know Bobby Hauck makes $260,000 with all his incentives. Base salary is $145,000, $40,000 for t.v appearances, a $7,000 country club membership, $500 a month car stipend, and then $70,000 more in incentives.

Coach Wright at Texas St
When we hired Coach Wright to lead the team two and a half years ago, his starting salary was $150,000. During his tenure as head coach, he has received salary increases totaling more than 16 percent, making his current base salary $174,686 plus bonuses.

Re: How much does your FCS coach make?
Delaware, with its private charter, does not disclose salaries, even though it receives state funding. Rumor has it that KC Keeler is in the $350K/year range.
Page two of this article http://www.delawareonline.com/article/2 ... -to-Keeler by respected UD beat writer Kevin Tresolini mentioned that Mike London received a $275K/yr package when he was hired, and then Keeler received a long-term extension shortly after the article was written (just after UD went to its second FCS title game under Keeler), so the $350K/yr figure is probably not far off.

I am sure Weber coach Ron McBride makes much less than coach Hauck, coach Keeler, or coach Wright.

Farley received $263,516 for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. His base salary is $242,550. The difference is bonuses for conference championships, playoffs, etc. Not sure if the $263,516 figure also puts a value on his golf club membership or car.

$150,000/yr is his base salary...I'm sure Bobby, like Blaine (bball coach...makes base $212,160/yr +$50,000 for TV and radio), makes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more because of our boosters though. And unlike Blaine, I don't know how much he makes from TV and radio stuff either.

Interesting.
Coach Farley isn't even the highest paid coach on campus at UNI. Our basketball coach makes over 300K.

Not sure how much Coach Morris makes, as the mandated state report on employees salaries doesn't come out till January...
His predecessor, Don Brown made $233k...not the highest paid coach at UMass...
Basketball Coach Derek Kellogg makes $260k in base salary...

Talley has been there forever. I have no idea how much he makes.

Jerry Moore makes $180K base. Pretty sad based on what he's accomplished and compared to some of the others mentioned here.

But he gets to live in Boone. That's worth a bunch right there.

Jerry also gets the option for some pretty hefty bonuses, but he normally defers those to his assistants (as I'm told). He gets cars and other stuff, too. It's not a king's ransom, but he seems to be fairly happy with it.ASUG8 wrote:Jerry Moore makes $180K base. Bob Ford makes about $150,000 a year plus cars and other perks.
He's been at Albany for 39 years though and has made a good deal of money that whole time. But he's said time and time again that he doesn't do it for the money. He's turned down the Syracuse head coaching job 3 times in the last 39 years.

I couldn't find any of the incentives/bonuses Jerry gets. Still a good living, but you'd think with his record he'd be making more than some of these boneheads that aren't even in the playoffs. :shockChetSteadman wrote:Jerry also gets the option for some pretty hefty bonuses, but he normally defers those to his assistants (as I'm told). Frankie T at Lafayette at makes at least 150k, and it is probably closer to 200k, but I am not sure the excat amount.
Our old line coach get pretty candid with us once and disclosed that the PL pays its head and assistance coaches pretty well. I believe the philospohy is that without the full scholarship backing good coaching is needed to help close that gap so the salary is very competitive by FCS standards.

It's not a Halloween costume. It's a disguise because I'm stalking a woman and don't want her to recognize me. I have a restraining order against me.

Pete Richardson makes too much considering the quality of his teams and lack of league titles in the last 10 years.

Re: How much does your FCS coach make?
I would think Moore is doing pretty well considering he is getting Social Security on top of all his salary and bonuses.....
"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801

Re: How much does your FCS coach make?
Weber State coach: $119,865 (not including bonuses for conf title/playoffs...etc) He signed a 4 yr deal last yr. If he goes no worse than 4-4 in conf each year he gets a 5th year. The 5th year he'll be age 74. And Social Security like Moore at Appy lol. WSU's coach is in retirement. He made a boat load coaching the Utah Utes for 13 yrs.
The basketball coach makes a lot more but WSU traditionally has been a basketball school (since the 60's).
These past 2 seasons have been a big roller coaster ride for WSU fans. In bball we had an NCAA Tourney and NIT appearance in the last 3 yrs. In Fball, 2 straight playoffs now.
