Chattanooga still has a shot at continuing to host the FCS national championship game.

It is not known what cities remain in contention for the championship game, but is known that both Missoula and Spokane have been eliminated.

It is down to Frisco and Chattanooga for all the marbles....

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium is not a finalist to host the Football Championship Subdivision title game.
Central Arkansas athletic director Brad Teague, whose school was part of a group trying to bring the game to the state capital, said Monday that Little Rock was not a finalist.
Teague said he wasn't sure why the bid fell short, but he suspected War Memorial might be too big for the FCS title game. The stadium holds over 50,000, and last season's FCS championship game between Richmond and Montana drew 17,823.

2010 National Championship location finalists
Thanks to Chattanoogamocs on AGS (the guy works for the Chatty entity that puts on the NC game) we have the following updated info on the 2010 NC game location.
Re: 2010 National Championship location finalists
Frisco as in San Fran?
Considering how much stock the NCAA puts into geography, I have trouble imagining them putting the NC in a location that is clear across the country from 90% of the FCS.

Frisco, TX is where SLC headquarters is located (why, I have no idea)
If this happened I would so be at the NC every year

Well that's just DUMB. I had no idea Missoula's bid was only for ONE year.

Carbondale, IL, should have applied. New stadium next season, centrally located in the nation .......

They should let Texas host the NC for at least two years, regardless of previous years, I think more people would show up.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back for a moment.
It snowed in the DFW Metroplex today and Austin may get some by Friday. It wont' stay around but found it interesting. We NEVER get snow in December. When we do get some (that last a day or two at best) it's usually in late Jan or February. Freaking weather.
