A good season will be a 9-2 campaign, which would mean at least one win over GSU, UMass and/or Maine.
A great season would be a 10-1 campaign, which would mean two wins over either GUS, UMass or Maine. 10-1 would likely warrant an at-large too.
As I said - definitely disappointing this year finishing 7-4.
Had we gone 10-1 I think we probably would have gotten in this year with what happened this weekend.
At this point ANYTHING better than 1-10 = good season.

Good Season: Winning at least 8 games, beating Grambling, and winning SWAC (which isn't worth )
looks like this is shaping up to be a bad season, Southern still can accomplish 2 of the 3 good season goals. but losing to PV sucks no matter how they improved.

You're a good fan and good message board partner, Birds. I officially dig you now.
I wouldn't call it horrible, clenz. I saw some good football this year. Saw them go to 2-0 versus the unbeatable Herd. Saw them beat YSU for the ninth time in a row. Saw an exciting game against ILSU. Tailgating was great for YSU and NDSU and at ILSU. Met lots of cool fans in the conference.
Gotta take the good with the bad and try to be positive.
