...Controversial, I know. On second look, perhaps I should have JMU above UD.
As far as my top 4, Villanova has wins over Richmond, UD and Temple, that's the best resume in FCS. William and Mary has wins over UD, UNH and Virginia and has the best DL in the country. SIU has wins over UNI and SDSU, but doesn't have the FBS win the other two folks have. Montana doesn't have an FBS win but does have nice wins over Weber State, Eastern Washington, UC Davis and Cal Poly, and I toyed with putting them above SIU. Richmond, UNH and McNeese all have better resumes than Appalachian State (and I almost put SDSU and SCST above them, too). There's just not a lot of quality on that resume, so I really don't know how good they are..
Elon is back where they should be.

Okay, I just want to get this straight...
You believe that UD and Liberty are both top 20 teams, but do NOT believe that JMU's earned any consideration for beating both of those teams and would instead like to "reward" the following: Lafayette, who lost to Liberty; ODU, who lost to a lower Patriot League team; CCSU, who lost to a mid-level NEC team?? All these teams are examples of "excellent play."
Next year, we're rumored to play Morehead State. You should like that on several levels...Maybe if we take them to overtime we'll get the nod for "excellent play."
Good explanation...
Why do you even have a poll then? We should just have an at-large poll.
