SUU scores a TD in garbage time, 41-28 final. Good effort for SUU, but as I expected, a little too much talent on the offensive side of the ball for Eastern for them to handle. They were a little one-dimensional on offense IMHO.

EWU - 609 yards total offense

Nichols - 28-38, 380 yards, 4 TD's, 7 carries, 75 yards, 1 TD (455 yards total offense)

Hats off to the Eagles for a well played game, mistakes and fumbles at inopportune times really hurt us and our defense sucking up as usual didnt help matters, but glad to see that we gave a good showing of ourselves especially the performances by Cooper and Poots. Looking forward to playing at San Diego to end the season.

And just so you know Falkin laugh all you want, at least i know what it means to have some class :twocents:

Who was it who told me not to underestimate SUU? Was it the same person who told me I was stupid for saying NAU would lose at least 2 of their last 3?

I thought SUU might make it close a couple of times - but I really think that 21-0 deficit in the second made your offense get really one-dimensional. Good game to you guys, though - maybe if the BSC ever gets it **** together we'll see SUU, Cal-Poly, and Davis in a football only version of the conference. :thumb:

Not a bad idea but what i would rather see is another team joining the Great West so we could actually get an autobid into the playoffs! I think personally that Northern Colorado should have remained in the Great West, would have made a good edition along with the Dakotas :thumb:

Yeah, you were talkin' a bunch of smack T-bird how SUU would be overlooked and pounce on the the unsuspecting Eagles. EWU is a force to be reckoned with. We were determined before the announcement that the post-season ban was lifted, and we're on a vendetta right now to do something with it now that we have the opportunity. We will beat NAU, and be one of the last two teams in. Look for us to do some damage to an unsuspecting SLC or MVFC team.
