Re: Stadium and Field Names
Portland's PGE Park, of which is not owned by Portland State but by the city of Portland, was originally named Multnomah Stadium for the Multnomah Athletic Club that is right next to it. In 1967, the city purchased it from the MAC and renamed it Civic Stadium. In 1999, Portland General Electric purchased the stadium from the city and renamed it PGE Park. A record 21,079 watched a DII playoff game between PSU and Texas A&I, which is still a record for a DII playoff game.
